Playing the sh*t out of veteran rentals in a desperate delusional hope to make the Playoffs, while A) saying F*ck it to draft position in a loaded draft; and B) not giving a single F about your recently drafted low lotto picks.
Same story, just more "successful."
Next phase: Missing the Playoffs and Leon feeling intense pressure to trade for a "superstar" since we certainly won't be drafting one or signing one in FA.
I don’t think year is like that. The wins are being driven by our core guys who should be here long term. Randle RJB Mitch IQ doing most of the work. We definitely still overly rely on journeymen vets though
The other years were abysmal. I still can’t believe ppl said F the draft during that 17-18 season. Well, the draft said F u back

Mitch is the metronome.
Considering the defensive identity of this team, he might be our most valuable player, or tied with Randle.

Static gives you that early 2000 vibes. Wish they still made songs like that
Alright I played a few times and really paid attention to it this time.
It's a great song.
I think I was stuck on the vibe of the first track you posted and reluctant to switch to another type of mood like that.
Great song.
It kinda reminds of me of that The Game song with Raheem DeVaughn for some reason.
Now you truly appreciate my art when you see it from my perspective.

Hate to say it. But Thibs is burning this team's energy up.
Love Thibs and what he's done, but you have to play Knox, IQ, and Obi more minutes to give Randle, RJ and Rose more rest.

KnicksChamps wrote:Nobody wants to talk about it but IQ hunting for BS foul calls instead of trying to make a fcking shot is btch-made and he's getting exposed. Thibs letting him continue to play instead of pulling him off the floor is enabling that garbage habit. Refs aren't gonna give him that call.
It really depends on the ref, they are inconsistent making those calls not just on rookies but on vets too. Sometimes they call it sometimes they don't, so even NBA stars will whine and complain when they don't get those calls. Can't blame IQ for going to something that's worked for him with so many other refs but tonight they just weren't falling for it. I do think he needs to add more to his game though especially as a decision maker.

Re: Knicks Mavs PG: The friends along the way
RJ Barrett is 6th in the NBA in minutes with 1,641.
The only other players 21 y/o or younger in the top 50 are Anthony Edwards at 31st (1472 mins) and Zion at 40th (1443 mins).
It's ridiculous to think RJ can stay consistent at 20 years old playing this kind of workload. For some context, RJ played a total of 1,381 minutes as a Duke Bluedevil. He's surpassed that number already this season by 20%.

Best case scenario is to finish 7-10, play on the play-in, lose and get a lottery pick.

On a Doncic drive... Randle couldn't rotate! As though he was stuck in mud! Not the same Randle from earlier in the season. Dude's tired, even if he won't admit it

Spoiler:
I’ll admit wiseman has been a bit underwhelming this year. He seems more of a project than I expected. Won’t be until like his 3rd year or so we’ll see if he’s good or not

Same with RJ. Looked like his feet were cement blocks when Luka spun around him to get to the rim and then after spraining his ankle just went past him and dunked on him like he wasn’t even there

Re: Knicks Mavs PG: The friends along the way
Leon and co showed they didn’t care about making a pushed and believe in tight rotations all season. As if they didn’t know we only beat bad teams. I think the fact that they didn’t care, I don’t give a chit either.
I just hate the fact we chose treadmill over attacking the playoffs or attacking the draft and developing. Literally did nothing...
No one is coming here to play 40 mpg under Thibs. Prepare to overpay bum fringe players in the offseason.
Same old Knicks

What's worse is it's a vicious cycle with diminishing returns. The more Thibs leans on Rose, Bullock, Burks, Noel, Taj, Payton and Randle; the less value our tradable assets have. By the time Leon gets to the trade market he will be working with Kevin Knox and Obi having very little value, not to mention his own sh*tty late lotto + late 1st rounder.
And oh yeah btw, he'll be fully leveraged by an impatient imbecile owner; the NY fans/press at his throat; and 29 other GMs knowing damn well they've got him pinned in an Ujiri-like choke hold.

Huge for what? We barely beat Bucks and lost to Minny. Idk what you looking forward to.
