It’s a long NBA season

Really seems like they could have used that offense since we can’t score more than 75 points in a game now but hey at least we have those super valuable 2 2nd round picks instead

Not even good seconds if this is correct

Read on Twitter

It’s not that I’m desperate to have him on this team. It’s that this team is desperate to win (their goal) and missed out on a very cheap chance to add some much needed firepower on the perimeter

It just makes me call into question the direction of the team. Do we have a direction? Some moves, like hiring Thibs, drafting older players, playing vets while DNPing younger players, make it seem like they’re desperate to win. On the other hand, they don’t make any moves in free agency, bring back scrubs like Payton, and make zero moves at the deadline when we are in the playoff picture. So do they want to win, or tank? What are they even doing?

Valid question. Most indicators point to them wanting to win now.

Wish we had some of OKC's talent with youth... frustrating watching us draft Obi over here.

but they gave up 140 pts and lost by 37. they're getting big minutes and someone has to score but I guess I remain unconvinced about them

it was a nice pass tho

Obi sucks but he's playing 11 minutes a game, if he was playing over 30 and allowed to chuck in a tank scenario he would stumble upon some 20 point games too

still hard to believe we couldn't use pick #33

I think there was a report in the Post that Knicks liked Maledon too

I mean PHX is a legit playoff team and they are playing basically a bunch of kids (essentially a g-league roster right now with SGA out). They are going to get blown out, so wouldn't be too concerned with the score. You just hope they get good reps and are somewhat efficient with there touches.

TBH the pass was great...but crossing up Mikal Bridges might have been more impressive.

Yeah agreed there. We don't even have a PG. We'd probably love this guy by now. Then again he'd just be nailed to the bench behind Payton so we'd never have seen most of these bright spots

that is true

despite all the hype around this season, I see this season as the same old w/ slightly better results. talent-deficient team that relies on vets, ignoring the youth, starts off the season decent before it falls off

I'd like to see them commit to youth for once. they did in 2018/19 and it resulted in RJ, one of our best draft picks and a core piece

they are committed to RJ, who is the youngest player on the team. but you get the impression everyone else is expendable and/or on the way out of town. thibs is the coach. hard to think there is going to be a youth movement

We're asking why we didn't draft someone based off one clip from a 48 minute game.

This is more insulting than anything Durant said.

When even Durant supporters like myself roll their eyes now, Durant has lost all support outside of Brooklyn. Fair.

Revisionist history.

The Heat were loaded for that era they were in. Let’s not compare the teams because you want to steer the narrative.

i'm not saying they weren't a superteam. i'm saying a celtics/heat big 3 is different than the warriors/net monstrosities. neither the heat nor the celtics had 3 of the top 5 players in the league leading their ring-chasers
