But we'll always have those memories of Julius' 8 minutes in the all star game. Guys that was well worth playing him 39 minutes a game even in blowouts. #TonyCampell2.0

I'm not worried about Randle and think we should keep him unless offered a 2021 top 5 pick (which won't happen)

what if he was the biggest reason for our winning? he's not, but the record w/ and w/o Woodson over the last decade is probably startling....

No hes not stop with the bs..He doesn't have any help.
He's trying to be a leader and get guys going, get a shot when we need one. He's **** exhausted my **** what do u want from this guy? He had 11 assists.
Get him a **** pg and shooters
Get him a PG and shooters? No thanks.
Randle is ball dominant and stops ball movement dead in it's tracks, pointing out that he had 11 assists is pointless, he's not running a solid offense. He's getting assists the same way Westbrook does, there's no ball movement or hockey assists that come off his passes, it's mostly a kickout to a shooter who has to shoot it because he's burned clock isoing.
If he's exhausted maybe he shouldn't shoot 20 times? How about come up off the ball and space the floor? Nah, gotta get those step backs in.
Knicks offense is ugly with and without Randle. It just shows you our roster construction. When Randle doesn’t have the ball, all the rest of the Knicks just dribble the air out of the ball going nowhere cause they can’t create on their own and kick it out for Randle to bail them out with a last second 3. That’s our offense every game.
We go to Randle for ISO’s cause he’s the only one who can score on his own. We rely on him creating open looks for others cause they can’t create for themselves. So until we get legit scorers around him, that’s just the way it’s gonna be. RJ is a very limited scorer, IQ can’t do much without his floaters, Burks is inconsistent. Rose might not be 100% cause of Covid, injuries.

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

We should keep him. He's not the problem this Knicks team isn't as good as some folks want them to be. You simply cannot win in the NBA today if you have no point guard or ball handler that can break down defenses and create shots. Doesn't matter how good your defense is. And I've mentioned it a few times, if you actually take some time to scan up and down on this roster, the individual players aren't exactly known for their defense. Noel, Taj Gibson, Mitch and Frank are really the only guys that came into the season with a reputation for defense. Everyone else? Not so much. Elfrid Payton is probably their best defensive guard and he's never been known as a strong defensive player. A solid one maybe but known for his defense? No. Randle isn't. Barrett hasn't ever been known as a strong defender. Bullock? No. Burks? No. Toppin? No. Rose? No. Quickley? No. That's their rotation right? And yet together these guys are one of the top defensive teams.

Playing the sh*t out of veteran rentals in a desperate delusional hope to make the Playoffs, while A) saying F*ck it to draft position in a loaded draft; and B) not giving a single F about your recently drafted low lotto picks.
Same story, just more "successful."
Next phase: Missing the Playoffs and Leon feeling intense pressure to trade for a "superstar" since we certainly won't be drafting one or signing one in FA.
Cherry on top will be if any of the young lotto picks we let walk or traded for nothing blow up as good rotation players. All to make room to sign Demar Derozan and Kyle Lowrys corpse.

I wasn't even going to watch, but then I put it on in the 2nd quarter mainly because even though I'm now firmly in the tank division I figured beating the Mavs would still help our cause. And then Obi did like 4 excellent things in a row and I was give me moar!
but of course Thibs had to mess that up so no more fun for us tonight
still, he actually did several awesome things in one stretch that was more than he had done in the whole season put together, so maybe there's hope

Same sh*t different year. Still no direction to this ball club. Wasted 15 million in cap space to show for nothing. Starts three mediocre players on expiring contracts and another three from the bench. This year's lottery pick plays 10 mpg, two previous ones DNPs. Headed for another bottom of lottery pick who will not play anyways. Winning culture my arse.

Obi looked better in that short span than he did for most of his time at Dayton. I would LOVE to eat cow (or crow) if I'm wrong about Toppin and what we saw tonight we'll see regularly going forward.

This all sounds like the same things I heard from Westbrook fans, nobody is good enough around him, he got xyz assists so he didn't really have a bad game. We will never have a quality offense with Randle on the team, we will never have ball movement and hockey assists because he needs to be involved in every play, he needs to be on ball a lot to be effective, we can't even run high screens because he's on the ball so much. And it's not just because Thibs doesn't like the play, the Wolves had 50% more possessions with the rollman than we do, it's because our PF handles the ball nearly every other possession that we can't even run basic plays like that.

I was psyched in pre-season and thought I saw positives at that time. Then I merely defended him early season on the principle of giving him some breathing room. And recently I conceded that if there was any hope it might have to be after a lot of work in this off-season. I'd kind of given up without totally writing him off. IOW, I no longer had any expectations so seeing him do some dope stuff tonight was almost jarring. It felt unexpected. Hope he can string together some good moments again soon so it doesn't feel like an aberration, but like a trend in the right direction

The Sixers don't have a PG that can break down a defense, neither do the Heat or Clippers. All three of those teams have more ball movement than us, we're an ISO heavy team that doesn't swing the ball, doesn't pass much and gets shots late in the clock, we are 3rd in the league attempting late shots, and 4th attempting very late shots. Our offense sucks because we have ball dominant me first players.
We get better shooters and they'll be taking shots late in the clock too.

One thing's for sure. If Obi can get himself right he's gonna hear some chants in the Garden. Knicks fans can be cruel, but they can also show love to the underdog if they turn things around

Macri made a good point on his postgame tn: how did the Knicks not get Jalen Brunson in the KP deal?
yes, trading KP was ultimately a good thing....but that still doesn't mean we got a good return for him. we got a bad return. the best asset we got from the deal is the 2021 pick which will be 20-22 (unless Mavs are miraculously knocked off in the play-in) and the cap space, tho I still think w/ or w/o KP, they would've gone after Randle (probs not Morris tho)
