Thanks for mentioning him.Pretty damn intriguing...

Yeah probably my fav big in the draft I like bassley too but I like kais upside more. He’s not a statue defending the perimeter either very mobile for a 6”11 guy

this is who we need

that hang dribble + his off the dribble shooting....that's the stuff that some of star scoring guards in this game have

I agree

How about Mitchell vs Butler?

Mitchell b/c Butler is similar to what we already have in IQ

I'm a really big Butler fan tho

I, for one, wouldn't mind having another IQ around...especially if a wing like Bouknight, Moody or Ziaire, is there at our first pick.

*** Not a shot at Mitchell -- whom I like as well -- just saying that having more IQ's around Rowan & Julius, should only be a good thing. ***

Most of us tankers acknowledge we’re not picking top 5. We just want to be picking 11-13th. We’ll still get a good player in that range. Looking at mocks, the cutoff seems to be at 13. After that, most players just look like potential high end role players, no stars.

right now we are sitting tied for 7th with Boston who is in 8th. According to tankathon that gives us the 15th pick. the next two teams in the standings at 9th and 10th who will make the play-in tournament are indiana and chicago, and they are picking 11th and 8th. Toronto is the first team out right now in the 11th spot and they are picking 7th.

if the season ended today we would be in the play-in tournament. if we lost the play-in tournament we would pick around 13th. that's probably best case scenario. unless sacramento stays hot or the pelicans catch fire or the pacers rail off a huge win streak or something. Then maybe 12th. same scenario for if we just drop out of the top 8 and lose the play-in, we are still likely going to be picking 12-13.

if we win the play in tournament we'd be picking 15th. Right now we are 15th on tankathon.

so we are talking about rooting for the team to lose all so we can move up 2 or 3 spots in the draft from 15 to 12-13. when it's essentially a 5 man draft. and in the last draft they took toppin so there's not much reason to think they'll strike gold. and forget the miniscule lotto odds.

if we end up 15 and we love someone at 12 we should easily be able to move up. the real cutoff is at 5. in conclusion it's just a waste of time to root for losses at this point. we already missed our chance and it doesn't matter if we move up or down a few spots

He doesn't seem athletic enough to play well in the NBA.

I thought that at first too but look at the drive he makes at about 24 seconds in. He looks NBA quick there but maybe I'm wrong.

I've actually been on him for a couple weeks now. He was one of the first one's I checked out when i started scouting some of the guys in that we're mocked late first on Tankathon and now of course they're all moving up into the late lottery. Luckily for us, it seems were trending that way too.

when I first checked him out in January he was 31st on tankathon, pretty much a no brainer in that range. I was hoping maybe we could get him with the pistons pick even. Now Wasserman is hyping him as a top 10 pick, it's a tougher sell in that range

he's still 19th on espn, so we will keep an eye on that

I haven't paid much attention to the draft this year because I assumed we would trade the picks at the deadline. we didn't, but I'd still be surprised if we keep all 3 of these picks.

Well at least right now Wasserman has him at 15, so that definitely would be in our range but it's definitely confusing on what direction we're looking to go. You'd figure that if we were desperate to make the playoffs we coulda made the Fournier move. I guess since they held onto all the picks that they plan on trying to move up in the draft or something? We probably could jump into the late lottery if the season ended today with all our picks. I just don't see us drafting three rookies with how thibs plays them but it definitely be a great way to replace some of our okay vets.

He has a hitch in his shot, is super small, can’t really shoot off the dribble, and although he is a smart pesky defender he will really be overmatched physically by NBA guards defensively.

A high risk player. Could easily go the Tyler Ulis route.
