So, who's onboard with Corey Kispert at 6? I was hoping to get him with the CHI pick, but I was also hoping to be picking in the Top 5. Those dreams are now DEAD.

I take Corey at 6 (with the CHI pick) after I took Cade/Suggs/Green with OUR pick.

More realistic... I take Corey at 9 (with the CHI pick) after I took Keon Johnson with OUR pick at 6.

If we could combine Keon's athleticism with Corey's shooting, we'd be talking about an elite Top 6!

You know, Keon didnt declare yet unlike his teammate Springer

Once he does declare, it looks like most mocks are recognizing him as the 6th pick.

Springer is interesting, because he's not even close to being 19 yet. Plus his brother's are 6'6" and 6'9", leaving the possibility that he may grow more.

The most outlandish outcome of the trades: i) Orlando becomes better and climbs up to 10 and wins two play-in games to make the playoffs while ii) Chicago continues to lose games and ends up at the 5th worst team, not winning the lottery, with the pick conveying to Orlando as a #5 pick.

This is ridiculously unlikely. But it is possible.

May the Basketball-gods shine on our Magic to make it so.

I'm liking Chris Duarte from Oregon. Depending on what we do early in the draft, I'd love to have him.

16th hardest SOS left. Not looking good. A lot of tanking teams with harder schedules remaining.

Cade and Mobley?

Suggs and Kuminga?

What is the best duo for us if the stars align?

Yep, I've spoke about him in a couple threads. Just would love his shooting, also decent defender.

Chris Duarte, G, Oregon (No. 16): Another favorite of mine whom Game Theory Podcast listeners will not be surprised to see this high. Simply put, Duarte does everything that modern NBA teams are looking for from secondary creators. He can attack off the bounce. He can hit 3s on over a 40 percent clip. He can defend multiple positions but is particularly good at defending guards due to his disruptive 6-foot-6 size and quickness. He makes good decisions and takes efficient shots. He was terrific in both NCAA Tournament games that Oregon played, showcasing all of these skills as well as a real flair for the moment when his team needed it. I know Duarte will turn 24 years old before the draft. I do not care. He is one of the country’s elite players already, and his skill set is just ready to step into an NBA situation from Day 1. I will be higher on him than the consensus through this process, in all likelihood.

I'm way beyond thinking that we're getting a Top 5 pick. Dreamers in la la land can do it all they want. W're probably picking 9th or 10th.

To be clear, you're talking about Round 2 right? 2nd rounders fizz out in Orlando.

Springer has some nice HS footage, but I don't know what we'd do with him. I don't see him growing more and I doubt he's even 6'4. Probably 6'2.75. He's too similar to Cole Anthony and will probably be drafted in the similar range. Compact and physical...nice handle, but plays below the rim unlike Keon. I don't think he can have success with his style of play in the NBA because he likes to play inside the arch and carve his way to the basket, but I think that'll just lead up to a lot of blocked shots on the next level. I like a lot of other guys ahead of him.

One of them is Ayo Dosunmu, 6'5 SG with a 6'9 wingspan. Plays really fast but under control. A lot of guys who play fast are wild, but Ayo stays within himself. His handle is surprisingly good. He's great playing Pn'R as a passer and that would translate really well for our big men. .386 3PT% (but needs more volume), .783 FT%, gets to the FT line a lot, plays defense... exactly what you'd hope for with a late lottery gamble. I'd gladly take him with our CHI pick.

Our two picks will likely be between Barnes, Keon Johnson, Moody, Bouknight, Davion Mitchell, and Kispert.

If we don't get a top 5, I'll be happy with any two of those.

Mitchell playing well in the first half, 9 pts., 7 assists. Kelvin Sampson called him the Deon Sanders of college basketball defense.

And if we didn't have JI and Chuma already, im tempted to "want" him. But I think we really need offensive firepower more

Timme looks like Kevin McHale. not a sky high jumper, just relentless around the basket, can use either hand. not a 3 pt shooter though, which is also like McHale.
