I would think of Mobley as a higher ceiling Adebayo.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Is has come to the point where you basically NEED an elite guard/forward if you have any dreams of winning it all. Like you said, the game keeps expanding further and further away from the basket. Giving us more of a reason to get guys that can potentially be part of the elite guards/forwards list. Mobley is good, and I wouldn't complain if we got him. But Cade, Kuminga, Green, and Suggs are just more enticing to me especially when you consider our two best young players (Siakam and OG) can and are playing center and forward positions when we go small.
I'm actually not a Mobley fan. What I was trying to say was that your conclusion about bigs and championships doesn't have a good basis. And neither does your argument about wings and championships. The players you listed, outside of pierce and maybe Kawhi, are extremely special players. There are also plenty of elite wings that haven't won championships.
Why isn't it a good argument? If we look at NBA history as a whole I AGREE bigmen play a star role in most championship teams. You could argue the NBA was a big man's league for decades. But the past 10-15 years or so if you want to win a championship it's more important to have a star guard or forward.
As for those players being special. I agree. If the goal is to eventually win a championship then those are the kinds of players you should want/look for.
Because championships are rarely won by single players. The only championship teams that won without multiple all star or MVP caliber players on their team was probably the 2009 and 2010 Kobe team. And even those teams had Pau Gasol and Artest, on the downswing of their careers, but still. And maybe Dirk's. Don't remember who else was on his team.
Winning an NBA championship, especially now, is dependent so much more than having a superstar on your team. The correlation itself is weak.

Yeah, you need a good team to win. But my point is within that good team. An elite guard/forward is necessary in today's game.

All we need is Gonzaga not to choke so we can have one hell of a championship match up in the NCAA title game with plenty of pro prospects to scout in the biggest game of their lives.

If they don't win it all Suggs is dropped to #5 pick.

I hope Mitchell defends him. It would be very interesting.

Not bad. Ya, 7ft version of Bam makes sense.

Seriously think we need to expand this draft conversation to include the top 6-10 prospects as well.

I tried, but people here keep thinking 1-5 or end of the world.

We should be focusing on 6-12 to be honest. Who knows where we land. 1, 2, and 3 are pretty much set in stone with Cade/Monkey/Suggs in that order. 4 and 5 are interchangeable with Green and Kuminga. After that there are a number of prospects to chose from. There's still a chance to lower our lottery odds and get a lower pick still.

It will show us a lot. If he plays well could make the 3rd pick a really interesting debate.

And I wonder if Mitchell will raise to the top 10.
I see some mock has him in the lottery already.

Zags has 4 players to be drafted this year. Three of them we likely will be in a position to selelect. Would love to be able to trade a roster player for Suggs then run the table all Gonzaga.

Re: The Official Cunningham vs Suggs Thread #Tank4Either
Happy to see Suggs hit that big-ass Dame-esque shot at the end of the half. He was active, but not "taking over the game."
Entertaining game. Can't wait to see Bob Marley (Tyger Campbell) back in the 2nd half. Too bad he's only 5' 9". The HDMH principle is irrelevant in the NBA.

I would love it if we could somehow get a pick into the mid teens and take Mitchell with our top 5 pick.
Flynn, Boucher + 2 SRPS for Mitchell? I’d do it. I’m a huge fan of his. Lot of young Lowry in his game.

Not sure how, but we need to get Joel Ayayi. Superstar in his role.
