It's because of the one and done man. That's what also makes the football playoffs so amazing. It's like a bunch of Game 7s.

Close games are entertaining, a buzzer beater in the NBA is just as entertaining. Blowouts are boring, the other game tonight was a blowout. No ones talking about Houstan/Baylor.

I felt bad wanting Zags to win, to set up the epic final with Baylor, featuring Suggs against Mitchell. But UCLA kept stroking it, and a guy like Campbell - the smaller reincarnation of Kyle Lowry - has to win you over. He took two charges!

A few observations I noticed and let me know if you guys agree:

1) Suggs has "it". He's in that category of the Roy's, and Wade's who raise their game in the biggest moments. Not just because of the final shot, but he makes big plays in big moments.

2) Throughout the tournament I've seen Jaime Jaquez Jr. hit big shots and play great defense in big moments, and I know he's not on a lot of draft boards, but he might have a role as a 3+D guy in the NBA.

3) Drew Timme is an NBA player. He needs to improve his 3 point shooting and free throw shooting, but the dude is a bucket when he gets in the post. He reminds me of a guy like Carl Landry who came in unheralded but just got it done.

It's a lottery. We've have had 2 years since the NBA changed the lottery odds. Lets look at the Top4 rather than top3 since the odds make it easier for teams outside of top4 to drop into the top4. In 2019, of the bottom 4 teams, only 1 team stayed in the top 4 picks (which was Knicks who had the worse record and got the #3 pick. The other bottom 4 teams went 5-6-7 in the draft).

In 2020, of the bottom 4 teams, 2 teams stayed in the top 4 (Warriors were the worse team and got #2 and Minny was second worse and got #1. The other 2 bottom4 teams got the 5th and 6th pick).

So lets not think its over because Raptors can't finish with a worse record than Minny, Detroit, Houston or Orlando. Just ensure you have all your lucky charms ready on lottery day.

Aside from the amazing shot, Suggs was big in crunch time.

Blocked a dunk that he had no business even getting to and immediately leading the break and dishing a great pass.

Amazing defense throughout OT on Juzang. UCLA struggled to even get the ball to Juzang

Shoutout to the Canadian kid Nembhard for that sick step back 3 with a minute left too

Suggs is a two way beast, he would look great in a Raptors jersey...and Juzang is highly talented offensive player, what a game that was.

Timme definitely sounds like the name of a player from a Canadian team.

Timme will struggle vs length like Garza.

Suggs was clutch and a great 2-way player but Ayayi did most of the heavy lifting. I might still take Jalen Green over Suggs. Though I would take Suggs over Kuminga.

Shout out to Nembhard!!!!

Suggs stock around the same, Kispert (Joe Harris 2.0) probably dropped to around the late teens, Ayayi should be into the late 1st round. Timme, maybe a team uses a late 2nd on him.
