You’re trying to deflect from another poor shooting performance from the worst starting PG in the NBA?

Not wow. It’s expected. Hope you got a nice spot on the hill.

I think everyone who is playing big minutes - and has been available for most of the games - is tired. This season's schedule is unremitting. The back-to-backs are ridiculous. The players union was weak af to not put their foot down over that - it's *the* leading cause of injuries. (Ofc, PU is controlled by stars who can sit games out at will, but hey,..)

fwiw, once the Mavs had blown the lead up to where it was clear that Luka wouldn't need to come back in (in Q4) tonight he looked exhausted in close ups on the bench. I'm sure the adrenalin would have pulled him through if he'd been needed, but it's pretty evidently wearing everyone down.

Yeah agreed.

Norvel Pelle fun fact:
Career personal fouls/100 possessions = 11.9 (for reference, Mitchell Robinson is 6.7).
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yesterday I was lying; today I'm telling the truth.

Edwards is a very bright guy. I posted a vid of an interview before the draft that I believe Mike Schmitz had with him where they were analyzing a multitude of plays that Edwards did that were questionable and you could tell that Edwards understood every play and what the correct thing to do was in each situation. Even before Schmitz finished asking the question sometimes. Out of all the interviews Schmitz had, Edwards was the brightest and sharpest interviewee IMO and you can't teach that (you just can't).

So I don't think it's not understanding basketball that's the concern...Edwards understands basketball (he's also extremely talented from a basketball and a physical tool standpoint). But a lot of people understand things and don't actually do it. Guys know that robbing a bodega is a bad idea and yet they still do it right?

IMO Edwards needs to be in a situation where he gets to play BUT also gets taught the right way. Some tough love be it from a well respected head coach or from well respected teammates that know what it takes to be a professional and play winning basketball while still looking great statistically. I'm not sure that he's going to get that in Minny with that gaggle of players (headlined by KAT and Russell) and with relative novice Chris Finch as the head coach. Honestly, if you ask me the worst team he could have possibly been drafted to I probably would have said the Wolves. That team is full of guys that appear to be enabled and can do whatever they want (hi KAT). That is not what Edwards needs even though that might be what Edwards wants.

The Warriors would have been the absolute best situation for him among the teams that were in the lottery. What he needs is to slot in between Steph and Draymond. He's smarter and has a better feel than Wiseman. IF he can listen to those guys and follow there lead there was clearly a chance for him make a real nice career for himself.

Even the Knicks with Thibs I think could have worked for Edwards had they been in a position to draft him. Edwards has talent. He knows what to do. What he needs is to mature and get it into his head the same thing that Randle got into his head (this season from last), that you don't need to do selfish things to be a star. Edwards has the ability and the skills to do it (most guys don't even if they wanted to).

So what will Edwards become if he remains in Minny? Andrew Wiggins does sound about right.

Posted this in the Pelle thread...just love it. Both blocks were after he dislocated his finger, had the Knicks trainers pop it back and then tape the finger up with black duct tape. That 2nd block was with the bad hand with the taped up finger. He wasn't going out of the game no way no how even in a blowout and garbage time. Gotta love that.

Maybe you two should google colonization or even postcolonial theory instead. It's important to know about, especially in the US, I guess. More Americans should know about history and/or the outside world.

I think a few of you are over reacting to what Edwards said. When I initially heard what he said, I understood it as Minny being perfectly fine with anybody other than Randle taking the last shot. I don't think Edwards, or Minnesota, wanted specifically RJ to take the last shot but as a long as it wasn't Randle, they can live with the result. If they had to list the players they did not want taking that last shot, RJ would be 2nd or 3rd(at worst) and Randle would be by far #1. So, I don't think he was taking a shot at RJ and he was really just emphasizing how focused they were on making sure Randle did not touch the ball.
