Its kinda funny how much the top of this draft resembles the 1994 draft

Top 3
Glenn Robinson\Jalen Green - Athletic scoring machines
Grant Hill\Cade CUnningham - Point forwards with elite talent
Jason Kidd\Suggs - Big, do it all PGs with that WINNER gene

You can also kinda say Donyell Marshall=Kuminga and Evan Mobley=Juwan Howard, but those are kind of reaches

Either way if we can get one of the top 3, ill be very happy

I don't want to overreact too much to what Suggs did tonight. He hit the shot of a lifetime but I was semi underwhelmed by his performance again, as a whole. Though he did have a blocked shot and skipped pass sequence that makes you drool. It's still Cade for me.

Anyway, I was firmly entrenched with the final four-game tonight so I didn't catch much of this one. I liked what I did see out of WCJ and Okeke. Hampton continues to intrigue, though he is a project. Everyone else is an afterthought atm.

I just want a high pick next year and us to ACTUALLY start him on day 1. To me, it says a lot when you get a high pick and then you don't even start him.
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)

Birch should be ready, and I would think Carter-Williams could be put in Magic-blue, even if he were to be minutes limited.

He'll be 29. It's a mystery to me why we even signed him at all. Did Josh Maggete take a contract overseas or something? Is Tim Frazier on an NBA roster this year? There's gotta be some fringe NBA point guard out there that made more sense than the 28 year old Chasson Randle. He started at point guard tonight, played almost 30 minutes, and had as many assists as I did. With 3 more turnovers, so I feel confident saying that I was the better player tonight.

I much preferred Frank Mason. Sad he got injured.

Every Jazz starter has a plus/minus above their minutes played. WOW.

With this loss:
Orlando is still at 4/5 (the Cavs also lost).
Orlando is 3 games better than the 3rd worst Pistons.
Orlando is 1/2 game better than the 6th worst Wizards.

Apparently Ross was made eligible for this game simply so that Orlando would have 8-players suited up. Reports are that his ankle is still a problem for him.

They'll probably activate Mane.

WCJ and Chuma played some AAU together...me might be seeing competing alliances with Bamba/Cole...might be healthy too

I don't hate Bamba. I have never hated Bamba. I won't hate Bamba for as long as he is representing the Magic.

But let me tell you. If you are running a dynamic results-driven business and you pay millions in salary for top-level employees and their talents...and then you stumble on a young guy with great perspectives (on paper) and the right tools to succeed (on paper) and the guy is saying all the right things and promises he will prove his worth...what do you do? You give him a chance of course. You hire him, you don't want to miss on a stud or a rising talent.

But 1...2...3 years pass by. This same promising guy looks like the same young green rookie that you hired years ago. he didn't show any improvement, his performance at the office is more than bad, inadequate and not meeting the average criteria for his position. He is not on the A-team, hell, he can't even make it to the B-team in his division. He's out of shape and does not follow the advice by his managers (coach). Shows up unprepared and is being outperformed on a regular basis.

And the wors of all - the three most important things about this relationship are not only lacking but terribly wrong - his AVAILABILITY is horrible, his RELIABILITY is non-existing and his EFFORT is invisible.

Please, kindly tell me... What do you do with this employee of yours after 3-4 years of the same $hi$?
You decide to wait for that youngster to grow a brain and IQ, awareness and motivation from thin air and suddenly starts delivering any results?!?! Or you just blindly tell yourself that he still has some talent you saw years ago and continue waiting with your head buried in the sand? Or you just straight give him a fat long-term contract so you don't lose him if he somehow somewhen starts showing up for work and proves he's not a loser????!?!!?

Let me tell ya, none of those will happen. Any self-respecting manager/boss/business owner/decision maker will cut on his losses, call that underperforming employee that has shown no desire or capability to provide on a regular basis, and will give him advice before firing his unmotivated a$$ and showing him the door. Period!

I get the sentiment but I am also not there yet. He was making improvements till tonight where he is now out for being sick. What if he is throwing up in the locker room would this still be saying this now? I get the sentiment but I would wait till the end of this year and make your judgement

Sure, everybody deserves a chance. There is a reason why the standard rookie contract's length is 4 years. Some blossom early, some take time, but at least you see something positive or a steady improvement in the first 2-3 years. We are talking 'years' here, not months.

If Bambi doesn't show up for work as he should be and be a professional with his effort and motivation for the rest of this season, I can foresee the management trying to get rid of him next year.

Problem is that his value won't net us a 2nd round pick at the moment.

Let's be honest here, the only reason Bambi is not relegated to the G-League or sent overseas is that he was drafted in the first round as the 6th pick and takes more time to call the real lottery busts a "bust" for real.

Just imagine if Bambi was drafted at the end of the first round where his place was, or the 2nd round of the draft. No one would have invested so much PT in him (better give it to another prospect) and he would have easily been out of the league already.

WeHam are keeping him with the last hope not to admit their defeat and embarrassment, and Magic fans believe he has a chance and untapped potential. Sorry, the GMs are in damage control when it comes to their drafting. Bambi has just a few months to prove us "haters" wrong or we are ending up with a 6th pick bust officially.

I respectfully disagree with all of this and think our management is really strong. You shouldn’t have picked Bamba if you don’t have the patience and fortitude to see his development through. I mean are we really sure his work ethic sucks. I know there were reports in his rookie year but I feel like he has grown up. I feel like if the work ethic was an issue they would have dumped him. I mean if you are right I think they have built up clout with their moves and have an out with Carter so we will see. These last games are going to be crucial for him
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

The thing that really stands out to me with UTA is the picks, that’s some beautifully orchestrated team play. No accident they take so many open 3’s....not just about good shooters, also creating so many good shots

Thats why you need passing and thats why Ross has much lesser impact than his shooting would suggest.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

What i will forever remember, we chose Jacques Vaughn over Snyder to coach this team. We also chose Hennigan over Dennis Lindsey, their GM. Have a solid FO and coaching staff for 7 years straight is so important. They've never been bad enough for high lotto* picks and are contenders. I love their examples.

*when you're good, you make your own lotto luck.
