I really hope he is available for the Magic's SRP, as he is a perfect 3rd string-C for this team as constructed.

He was a high-profile recruit who went to Kentucky and just never settled into the right role. UCLA is credited with developing him as an all-around scorer and mid-range shooter, rather than just the 3 pt shooter he was utilized as at Kentucky.

The kid just scores the basketball. Not much of a rebounder or assist man, but he scores. I love him.

that high on him? i'm looking at mocks and big boards around the net and he's not even on most of them....so you must really like him if for you he's a lottery pick while most mocks have him undrafted....must be flying under the radar

Yeah, we should draft a guy like AG with all athleticism and no actual translatable basketball skill (kuminga)....

Joking.

But seriously... if you are a “wing” in today’s nba without either high assist numbers or the ability to knock down a shot, you are simply a role player on defense.

Ok first off.m timme as our 3rd Center? Sure if he grows. I mean 6'9ish is Birch size and sure he has the offensive moves but no athelticism. How.about Garza if we want a scoring 3rd C? At least he is a hihe 6'11 dude? lol

As for Juzang... lotto? really? Well i knew there would be guys that would raise their draft stocks because of the tourney but Juzang in the lotto? He is late 1st round at best.

#1 and #10. you take your best shot with the best pick on the player you want, not the players leftover. Then take the next swing with #10

I agree that Cade’s athleticism/first step is a concern, but the massive difference between he and Turner is that Cade can really shoot and ET couldn’t.

Evan Turner with a 40% 3PT shot on high volume is a totally different player even with the same athleticism issues.

Cade will develop athletically too, we've taken too many athletes and hoped they improved at basketball

Juzang will easily go top 20 in my eyes. We talk about Kentucky guards all the time in these threads, && Juzang is just another one off that tree. He can score at all 3 levels and has excellent size (6-7, 7-1 wingspan) for a shooting guard.

Outside of the top 5 guys, I think there is a lot of room for someone like him to shoot up draft boards in a class like this.

I’ll push back a little here on Kuminga having no skill.

He has plenty of legitimate concerns with his jumper, but he did average 4 AST/100 with a 12.2 AST% as I believe the youngest player in the G-League Bubble.

Seems like a foundation of some passing skill at the very least there.

Hard choice between Cade and Suggs. for #10, maybe Kispert (Joe Harris comparison) or maybe Zhaire Williams (only missing 3 pt shot). problem is a lot of the top prospects are SG's and we have plenty on the roster as well. Yes, you want to take BPA, but if say they really believe in RJ (which I heard word was it was tough between him and Anthony at draft time) and if they think Anthony can be a player as well, why not look for a bigger wing.

100% makes sense. I think we need to do whatever we can to get Cade or Suggs. Anyone is available in my opinion if it means moving up to get one of them.

Second lotto pick I thought the same about position. Maybe Johnson from Duke, he sat out, another pf though, and he might slide so maybe a reach at #10.

Funnily enough we dont really have a position of need, just an improvement in talent and depth. We've banked on Fultz and Isaac, invested in Hampton and Carter. So only really leaves SF or PF. Unless we move Cole or Fultz to back up to the 1 or the 2. I dont think we are that far from competing, maybe 2 years with the right picks now

what's the knock with Jalen Johnson? Why doesn't he get more love? I'd welcome him with the Chi pick. Seems like a nice compliment to JI & Okeke.

Character issues. He abandoned his team twice already. Also not a great shooter.

After the tourney that's gonna change
I wouldn't be surprised at all if he goes in the lotto
The guy is a flat out scorer and proved he can do it on the largest stage

He has a history of quitting on his team, I want to say he quit on 2 different HS (img being one of them?) And then quit in the middle of this season to prepare for the draft

I get it was a lost season and Duke werent a tourney team, But it's still a bad look

I've also read he has an attitude problem but that could mean anything and plus he's a teenager, probably just a kid growing up as a star and got a big head, that can be fixed
