Re: 2021 NBA Draft Thread
He's got us taking Bouknight at 9, Isaiah Jackson at 17 and Jared Butler at 31.
Edit: I thought this was an updated mock based on the tweet. It looks like its just a tweet referring to the one from two weeks ago.

If we can't move up to the top 5 I wonder what would be the cost to move up from 18 to 8-10.
Not ideal but drafting two top 10 guys is still nice.

Ya know, there's actually a decent number of solid starter, even all star level players taken at 9 over the years. Not so great recently but maybe its due for another hit.

A little morning therapy for me is trying to sell myself on other guys. These videos are long but good for getting a feel on guys that you may not know much about. A few things I like about Bouknight is he’s good in transition. I don’t see that being one of Shai’s strengths. He seems solid going both left and right. My concerns are his shooting and he’s a little small and has been injured a few times. Free throw shooting is good so I think the shot will come around. My guess is he’s probably not getting lots of spot up, wide open threes.

I’ve watched some stuff on him as well. I think he’s a sneaky good athlete and he seems to finish well around the rim. I also think his jump shot will translate.

Updated big board from Vecenie, highlights prospects that had noteworthy NCAA tournaments. He moved Suggs above Mobley to #2, and seems a huge fan of instant impact role players like Davion Mitchell (#11) and Chris Duarte (#16).

I don’t see the high ceiling for Kai Jones. He’s got some ability but looks pretty flawed to me. Giddey has been playing pretty well as of late.

That quickness for his size, though.
Josh Giddey might be a good consolation prize for those missing on Cade.

Somewhat interested in this Corey Kispert kid from Gonzaga. Gives me some Kyle Korver vibes. Would be a really solid add at pick 9 if he could do that.

Suggs has that something special. I think Cade has it too but man what a shot and block.
It's Cade/Suggs or bust in this draft. I'd trade half our picks in the next 7 years as well as anyone on our roster not names Shai or Alexsei.

Definitely some Kyle Korver vibes.
I would rather gamble on a young prospect that could become a star (or a bust). Think Kispert's ceiling is not really high but he definitely can be a good nba player. Kind of prospect a good/contender team would love to draft.

Still have Mobley over Suggs but I think it may be easier to move up to get Mobley (because some bad teams already have good Centers).

We don't have our own 2021 2nd round pick? Was going to say I would be fine to draft Timme...not gonna be an elite player but could be a nice back up C...some Nick Colison vibes

Re: 2021 NBA Draft Thread
The overseas class is outstanding this year. The more I look into it, the more I see potential with the Miami pick and the second-rounders.
I'd feel great if OKC picks Josh Giddey at 9th and Roko Prkacin at 19th. I'd rather take Prkacin in the 10-20 range than Jonathan Kuminga, Ziaire Williams, and Scottie Barnes at the top 10.

Re: 2021 NBA Draft Thread
I'd be thrilled with any of the top 5 but Cade, Mobley and Suggs are my top 3. I still haven't decided on an order for those three. Then Green fourth and Kuminga fifth.

I can't figure out how Ziare Williams is still rated so highly by the expert guys.

I've said before that he's a guy I don't mind taking with our second pick when it looked like Houston might night be a top 5 worst team. I'm not sure I love taking him if we only have one top ten pick.

We'll have the Minnesota second round pick from Golden State since their first won't convey. So first pick of the second round.

We've got 3 2nds as of now I think - Minnesota, ours, and Denver. So 2 picks in the 30s and 1 in the 50s.
