I think it should still go to Ball. He was the best rookie by a good head prior to his injury.

Edwards had a monster last 5m and out the wolves on his back for that win.

playing bigger that what you are is all that matters. FVV, Mitchell they are midgets but they play like all stars.
Still not a fan of Edwards bc he obviously takes the most shots and not every rookie has that equal chance.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

I think Haliburton deserves it...his efficiency is amazing for a rookie guard. Edwards has raw numbers but his efficiency has been poor and also his defense has pretty bad. Currently, Jaden McDaniels has had better impact than Edwards among Wolves rookies.

Edwards is a project...he has ton of potential but it's gonna take a while for him to reach that potential (if he ever will) and become consistent with his decision making and shooting (if he ever will).

The Pistons have a player with Bey. Surprised at how effective he looks creating offense for himself.

Okongwu had his two best games this week in wins against the Spurs and Pelicans.

Spurs: 10/5 and 1 block - 12:28 minutes played
Pelicans: 11/9 with 2 steals and 1 block - 19:18 minutes played

I think he has a outside chance of making 2nd team all rookie; If he can start getting a consistent 15 - 20 minutes a game.

I would give him a outside shot of overtaking McDaniels. McDaniels minutes have increased but his production is not that great.
28 minutes a game in March and only putting up 9.6/4.0/ and 1.1 block.

Okongwu has surpassed that in a lot less minutes the past two games. Its going to come down to minutes as it always does for rookies. Okongwu needs 20 minutes a game. With the Hawks pushing for a non play in seed, he may not get them every night.

How has he looked, beyond the numbers? Pre draft I could never tell if his quickness and activity would translate into getting things done in the nba, or if he would just end up being a pretty basic mobile big his first year or two (after which it all comes down to development).

He looked lost quite honestly to start the season. Pierce was coaching for his job and less inclined to play the rook. With Nate at the helm, Okongwu is starting to look like he belongs.

This Collins injury has really helped him get 2nd/3rd big man type minutes the last three games. Once Collins comes back though, I am not sure he will get enough minutes. I do think he will end up being another good pick.
