Excellent decision!

Now get rid of Bud and watch the team reach for the stars.

Short of him bein an absolute disaster, this was inevitable once we gave up all those picks to get him. Time will tell how good the deal is.

Is this the most talented bucks team in the last 30+ years?

Is this the best big three, even better than the 2001 big 3?

It's way way better than 2001.

The nature of the NBA means we probably won't win the championship this season. Even the best teams in any given season have a ~25% chance to win the championship. I hope we don't panic if we don't get it done this year and make a desperation trade of Middleton. We are in a position where we can win the championship with this team which is where you want to be. Now we need some luck.

I think barring the massive chokejob against Toronto two years ago, we had a championship caliber team. If Giannis hits his threes or anyone just plays average, that should have been a championship.

By MP in that playoffs;
Middleton
Giannis
Lopez
Bledsoe
Hill
Patty C
Mirotic
Ersan
Brogdon (coming off injury only played 198 minutes)

This year, I expect our playoff top 9 to probably be;
Giannis
Middleton
Jrue
DDV
Pat
Portis
Tucker
Lopez
Teague

Getting rid of Middleton just keeps the revolving door of “another talent” open to get us “over the top”. I don’t think this year is the be all end all for anyone but Bud.

Bucks decided that Jrue is a must have piece to win it all... so they traded so many assets to get him. This contract shows the same, nothing new here, no surprise.

The good thing is that it seems that Jrue is our best basketball player in Overall Skill set, excluding players physical tools. He has polished his skills both ends. That doesn't say much , it just says that we were somewhat missing talent in our roster. Not sure how this ends up. Success is not guaranteed, cause I believe we are pretty worse than the Nets talent wise. It will all depend on how "streaky" we are in the playoffs. If our Big 3 play like Superstars at the Playoffs, anything is possible.

Pretty solid core three locked up. Here's where we figure out if Horst is good enough to build around them with the constraints that most contenders have and if the B's will dip even further into the book to make life a little easier on him.

I don't think people realize how close the top teams are to each other. There are 8 teams right now who should not surprise anyone by winning it all.

Incredible potential for the next 3-4 years. I dont think we've come close yet to seeing this team at it's best. There's a variety of reasons for this which are not Bud's fault. On the other hand... he's got 2 months.

Yessir. This is where it's more than just a nice thing to get a rotation player out of Diakite/Nwora/Sajm (the J is silent). It's something that has to happen.

This deal was pretty much a foregone conclusion the moment Jrue touched down in Milwaukee. Glad to see it's officially a done deal. Great player, better person.

And speaking of the old Big 3. Sam was the best of that bunch. I know it's blasphemy to say he was better than Ray, but it's true.

Pretty much. And to me the talk of moving Brook or/and Donte because money is tight is **** dumb. If we're aligned with that line of thought we already lost. Obviously anyone outside of Giannis is moveable if the deal is too good to be true, or even just good enough, but dumping assets because it forces our owners to compete with other billionaires? Nah..... Brooklyn ain't punting Harris because they got Harden. They got their arena. They got their Giannis extension. Time to pony up. No more Brogdons.

100% the right move at this point of time. You had to do it. No other option.

I still feel uneasy about the trade. We basically need to win a championship to make it worth it in hindsight.

I hope we get super lucky and these contracts look like bargains with the new CBA right as Middleton and Jrue start to age and we need another guy.

Sam > Glenn easily, but let’s just pump the brakes on Ray. Not even close really.

To me, this is a good deal for the Bucks, it shows that Jrue wants to stay in Milwaukee. He could have waited till the offseason to get more money. With this extension, it has turned out to be a good trade for the Bucks.
