Apparently going to military academy is the same as being a soldier.

In the NBA it's hard to build a good team.

It's harder still to from good to very good - or, at least, there are potential pitfalls.

It's even harder to go from good to truly great/regular finals chances.

I feel like the Bucks did a good job getting to very good, but then have immediately blown it with their decisions around Brogdan and Holiday.

Feels like they've gotten on the 2nd round treadmill, where they'll generally get out of the 2nd round but never any further.

They've gotten a generational player in Greek Freak but have assembled, at best, Cleveland of the early 90's.

The biggest mistake they made was Jabari over Embiid, they were too impatient and didn't want to wait for Embiid to recover. They could have built a dynasty cause they'd still end up with Brogdon since Embiid was going to miss his first two years.

Imagine trading 3 First Round Picks for Jrue and then paying him $40 million a year. The stuff of nightmares.

Broken record but they should have kept Brogdon. He’s a better player anyway.

I feel like the are on the very edge of very good to elite.....and generally that's still not quite good enough to beat a truly elite team in a seven game series.

Still they may be good enough to beat an elite team if something thing fairly minor goes there way- they are still fringe contenders IMO.

Nobody wanted to wait for MPJ either and he’s shooting 54% FG and 44% 3PT. Just unheard of efficiency.

At least we took Kevin Knox.

Better fit, cheaper and younger. They definitely dropped the ball on this one

Jrue had one good playoff series in his career when he and Playoff Rondo locked Dame and CJ and he's been preached a 'clutch' winning player ever since. Sport media in US is ridiculous.

But I understand the Bucks. The soft superstar divas ain't going to Milwaukee and Giannis is not exactly a friendly type of superstar to attract. I can see either Luka or Jok joining him or Giannis ending in Dallas/Denver.

I think even with hindsight, passing on MPJ wasn't a terrible idea

Dude has struggled with injuries despite his clear talent

It looks worse cause we drafted Knox over him. If we take SGA or even Mikal, it's not so bad.
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.

letting brogdan walk was dumb
trading 3 picks for jrue was dumb
being forced to pay jrue 40m a year is dumb

all that aside - Brogdan isn't better than Jrue.

To make matters worse there were prominent members within the Knicks organization who wanted to trade up for Bamba. We even heard reports about trading up for Obi. This team cannot be trusted with lottery picks. It’s absolutely terrifying.

Luka's going to the Lakers. I give it 4-5 years.

I cannot believe people on here were calling it a bad trade because of his first game.

Lonzo w/ 12pts on 4-4 from 3 in his first 8 min back

w/ his shooting improvement, he'd be a great fit w/ RJ and Randle b/c he's the playmaker we need and he can play on or off ball

how much do we think Lonzo gets? I was thinking 4/72M

Yeah. Drafting Knox was real bad. At least he looks playable this year.
