So based on the QBs they've acquired, it's going to be Jones, because they want a guy who can get the team into Kyle's glorious plays, which are really Mike's plays.

That will be Jones, who's the most "ready" of the QBs after Lawrence.

Basically echoing what a lot of others and I have been saying in that nobody knows what the 9ers are going to do.
All of the Mac Jones talk is basically people trying to connect the dots because of what they think Kyle wants. It all might end up being true but it's still pure speculation.

"And I look on TV the next day. No. 3 pick. I’m like what the … ? They ain’t picking no damn running back at No. 3.”
They better not have taken a damn RB at 12, either.

I forget the examples but QBs with average athleticism, other than Brady didn't perform in the NFL while someone like Allen, with a big arm and ability to run, improved his accuracy and played at an MVP level last season.
One screaming guy on ESPN said Jones wouldn't be much of an upgrade over Jimmy G at all whereas Fields would have a high ceiling.
Meanwhile, Sherman, who still isn't signed, speculates that 49ers will draft Fields, not Jones as many are predicting.

The only upgrade Jones provides over Jimmy G is youth. That's important, just not nearly enough to warrant two first round picks. Sherman has always been a very intelligent and insightful guy; hoping he's right on this one.
