I also wonder if Timme will get drafted. He was great footwork and is crafty around the rim.

Wonder if he'll get drafted?

He has a better chance of going in the first round than going undrafted.

Juzang looks like a lottery pick.

Trade up with Doumbouya and a 2nd round pick for Juzang if he's available late 1st round.

The X-factor for Gonzaga in the UCLA game was Ayayi. He came up with big/important plays time & time again throughout the game. And he's Weaver's type of player. Athletic, fearless... He'll likely be gone before the 2nd round, though.

He might be there but yeah he's good. Think he even has a few triple doubles. He was on fire when Suggs was out for a bit.

Someone in the draft board just gave a Fournier comp for him. That's actually not a bad comp in my opinion.

I've been on Ayayi for months.

I had him on my 2nd round list until we picked up DSJ, and Saben Lee started showing promise.

Ayayi is an NBA player for sure. A winning guard.

I'm starting to see Weaver's mentality. When you can scout like him, you lose patience for guys that don't fit. There's so much treasure in the draft.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Regarding the bold, he's more of a wing, though. More like Diallo than Lee or DSJ.

That would be my ideal is for the Pistons to draft Green. Problem with that is I feel the Pistons have to be in the top 3 for Green. With Suggs playing so well in the tournament, I think its gonna be Cade 1, Suggs 2, and Green 3.

I just think a big time scoring guard next to Hayes is ideal.

Looking at the standings and trying to work out who each team would select:

Only way I see Mobley going top 3 is if Minnesota picks 3rd and Cade & Suggs are both gone.

With D'Lo, Beasley & Edwards on the roster I think they'd skip Green and get the big fella to pair with KAT.

Cade they basically have to take and shift D'Lo off the ball completely as they've done during this streak of wins.

They'd take Suggs for the same reason (plus if memory serves he's from there)

HOU, ORL & us would all likely take Cade, Suggs & Green.

I definitely don't want to pick 5 as Kuminga is a bit of a riddle to me, sometimes amazing, sometimes disappointing.

IF we don't get a top 4 pick I won't be surprised though - can't remember the last time we moved up in the Lottery

Just please stay in top 4. Rather be in top 3.

Yeah top 4 is what we need. Kuminga at 5 is a consolation mystery prize but I feel alot more confident in the other 4 and would be fine with any of them honestly.

We could fall to 4, but the way the Magic are trying to beat good teams(last night versus Clippers), we may not have much to worry about.

there is no chance we finish 3-22 from here, im thinking a 9-16 finish should be enough to a get a top3 spot

We are playing a lot of western conference teams, who we can’t seem to beat. Even not so good teams in the West beat us(Grizzlies, Kings). I don’t see 9 games at all. We have only beat the Raptors since Wright has been gone. Plus Killian Hayes is coming back, which only will make thing’s worse. I don’t think you even really see 9 wins on this schedule going forward. Some of you are just preparing for the worst.

we've already won 3 games since this post

At this point I'm still hoping for a top three pick to get one of the top three guards, but I wouldn't be too sad to see us get Jonathan Kuminga either. I like his size and like Jalen, he's been playing against grown men in the G-League and has been handling himself pretty well.

I wouldn't be mad if we ended up with one of the bigs, but this roster seems to be built on the assumption we are drafting a guard.

I liked the mock (Franz at 16 is way more realistic than 6 or 8), but there is definitely one mistake in there. Kuminga is not the most physically gifted player in the draft. That’s pretty clearly Green.
