thunder SRS is now about the same as the 2008-09 thunder. both respectable tank jobs, and it's about where i thought this year's team would hover around. not close to the 2007-08 sonics, though.

the difference between the 2021 and 2009 thunder is illustrative of the variance associated with W-L totals and 'seeding'. 2021 thunder are five wins ahead of their expected W-L. the 2009 thunder finished one win behind their expected W-L. much of this difference can be attributed to one possession games. 2021 thunder are 7-4. 2009 thunder were 7-11.

winning close games is mostly luck related.

Contracted for next year (10):

Shai
Poku
Baze
Roby
Kenrich
Jerome
Moses
Maledon
Dort
(Horford)

Restricted (3):
Svi
Bradley
Jackson

Picks (6):
2 firsts
3 seconds
Vit Krejci

Obviously it's early, but we are already into a numbers crunch before free agency at $51 million. Obviously we should expect consolidation with the picks and euro stashes. But man, from a culture standpoint, it's going to be interesting how Presti handles this. Dudes aren't going to have much of a chance to show what they've got before it's time to shuttle them out for the next year's group.

Strange timing given the number of players unavailable through injury, think that leaves us with 8 for tonight?

Imagine we must have someone in mind to fill the roster spot soon, Presti prefers to reward those spots to guys who have been on the Blue

Josh Hall? He hasn't really shown much but not sure who else it would go to.

Could they go ahead and sign Vit?

Maybe some 10 days to guys like Antonius Cleveland or Jaylen Hoard. I'd throw Yurtseven out there too since he put up numbers in the G-bubble, but center is the one position that we're set minute wise. Hoard fits the Josh Hall mold of wing athlete who can't shoot at all.

Justin Jackson cost us a loss earlier in the season when he randomly hit a bunch of shots in that game. Wish they had waived him before the start of the season.

I know he's still under contract with his current team. I also ready that he wouldn't be fully ready to return until June. The timing to do so would be odd.

The deadline for waived players to be able to participate in the playoffs is coming up. Is there actually a playoff team that wants JJ?

Hoard was a guy I saw mocked to OKC a couple of years ago. You're right. He really does fit that mold.

Never heard of him. Linking his bball ref page below, but 24 year old point guard that played 4 years at Va Tech and had ok stats in the bubble is a bit surprising.

If he gets 30MPG from here on out we'll know he's our tank commander.

And there's Hoard taking the other 2 way spot, prob one of the easier predictions to call :D

Yeesh. They aren’t even trying to hide the tank anymore. Just lost by 50 and have three dudes out with “concussions”, so you waive a player on the team and sign two g-leaguers.

I still have a hard time seeing who we will gain ground on.

Seems like Justin was released cause a team is interested in him ? Unless Miller is a lot better vet presence .

Toronto is a game out of the play-in and Washington won’t tank. Orlando has been playing hard lately.

Toronto I think we may catch. Orlando seems like they’ll come crashing back down to earth but Clifford gets his guy to compete. Washington just sucks.

He seems like a good dude. Hope it works out for him.
