Drew Timme is the guy nobody wants to talk about. I think he lands 10-14 but could easily be anywhere 7-25 in this draft

Ayayi and Nembard are both worthy of being taken 25-30. Really good picks 30-45

Anton Watson is the second best pro on this years team. If he comes out he will still go late lottery to 20 or so

 WHAT??? Are you kidding me? That Watson guy is friggen terrible. Easily the worst player on the court for either team in the last 2 games. He's so bad there was one point Saturday where Kispert dove on the floor for a loose ball and then could've just given it to Waston who was 3 feet away, but instead chose to try and roll it slowly past a defender to get it to Ayayi who was 10 feet away. That's how bad Watson's teammates think he is.

No way Watson is an NBA player. The NBA can't be that bad can it?

Anton Watson has played way below his ability. Almost sheepishly.

Kispert was better at the beginning of the year when Anton Watson started with him.

Watson is the teams best defender. Should be a more aggressive and impactful offensive player. Will have to make a huge jump still to become a 1st round pick. That might happen tonight. Or with another season.

Are you saying that Kispert is missing shots because Watson doesn't start?

LOL Kispert is at best Doug McDermott. You do not waste a lottery pick on someone whose ceiling is Doug McDermott, especially at his age.

Timme - what are his transferable skills? he is not a rim protector, he cannot shoot the ball, he is not a playmaker. His ceiling is Cody Zeller, again not a player you waste a lottery pick on.

If you draft Doug McDermott and Cody Zeller at the end of the first round or as 2nd rounders, good job, but wasting lottery picks on guys who at most will be 20mpg token starters? Come on now.

Players who got drafted after mcdermott in 2014:
lavine, nurkic, capela, bogdan, kyle anderson, dinwiddie, jokic

Players who got drafted after Zeller in 2013:
Giannis, Schröder, Steven Adams, Gobert

Trust me, you don't want to be the GM to draft Kispert or Timme in the lottery.

Timme is nothing like Cody Zeller lol, but yeah he is not a NBA player

I think Kispert this season has shown to have a higher athletic ceiling than Dougie, he could only be that, but I do think the Joe Harris comp is warranted, I'd be fine taking Kispert top20

Timme is prob coming back for a Jr year, Gonzaga rolling with Nembhard-Sallis-Strawther-Holmgren-Timme

Kispert is more Joe Harris than Dougie. Taking a guy like him at 10 or later with the hope he develops into a Joe Harris / JJ Redick level shooter isnt a bad use of resources in any way. He can be a truly great complimentary 4th option on nearly any team in time IMO.

He has alot more bulk and athleticism than many want to admit. Almost like a Pat Connoughton but bulkier and a much better shooter.

They were all brought back to Earth against a NBA playoff level defense in Baylor.
This is why the lack of a handle can kill you or your draft stock if you are not hitting the shots when they matter the most against the toughest defenders.
But these kids they even missed the open looks they generated so some will definitely give them a pass after the body blow most of them took in the overtime thriller against the bruins 48 hours before that.

barely anyone suggested Timme is a 1st rounder, let alone a lotto.

Suggs is the only one I like as a first rounder. I might end up putting Kispert late first or something, but I've never been a big fan of his.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

To be fair my point was that he shouldn't come back, and I still think so, but seems like with being exposed in this last one, he prob does return

He wasn't exposed it was already known his limitations lol
He is a high iq forward with easy NBA rotation potential as is already but will always be a liability as a starter defensively.

Timme/Watson/Nembhard all should return, but don't necessarily think they'll be prospects next year either tbh, maybe Timme if he can improve that handle a bit

but really, Gonzaga should probably be just as good next year with Sallis/Chet coming on board + whoever they can get as a transfer...not really sure yet if Strawther can fill the Kispert void yet I think that's probably the biggest question mark

Nembhard / Harris
Sallis / Arlauskas
Strawther
Chet / Watson
Timme / Ballo / Zakharov

they should probably just try to get a couple of athletes as transfers.

Timmie isnt that suited for the NBA, and on paper Leaf had much better '2021 NBA Big Man' tools. But there is a role for a big who just never stops like Timmie, who has his BBall IQ and touch. It wont be a big role, but IMO there is a role.

He isnt athletic but he has surprising quickness and uses jerky / start+stop moves and elite footwork to feast in the post. IDK, I think he is a 3r string type at best but would be a great 15th man for most teams to throw out there, always bust the rotations guys butts in practice and wave towels like a boss.

Timme is more Sabonis, high IQ, technically proficient big man with excellent footwork. Yeah, he will need to signficantly bulk up, but considering his high IQ, he is definitely a 1st rounder, not a lotto pick.

It was a bad game for Zags and Timme, but Scott Drew had an excellent game plan creating switches everytime on offense causing Timme to play on the perimeter where the Baylor guards would then have an advantage in addition to the Baylor bigs down low grabbing offensive rebounds all day long against Zag guards. Vitale was a beast last night with the his girth over the the Zag players. Vitale was too much for Timme with his girth, strength, and DE/linebacker type built, but when he matched-up with more traditional PF/Cs basketball players (Mobley's, Riley, Booth, Harmes, Garza, etc), you cant deny Timme excelled.

As far as Kispert, you aint drafting him to be a star, you are drafting him to be a really good specialist which is what you should be expecting after the top 3.

I definitely see much more Joe Harris than McBuckets with Kispert. My guess Kispert goes somewhere in the teens. You take Kispert knowing exactly what youre expecting from him, youre not expecting him to expand his on ball scoring ability or anything like that. Pretty much the only thing you want him to focus on his perfecting his off ball movement, you take him to plug into the Korver/JJ/Harris role. That is an extremely valuable part for a team that already has its primary on ball scorers.

Also ya not seeing how anyone can think of Timme as being a 1st round let alone lotto pick. Timme needs to come back and show improvement with his 3 and improvement with his high post facilitating.

If Timme is going to carve out a role in the NBA, it's going to be based on offensive versatility. He is way too slow to ever become a good defender in the NBA, he doesnt have the length or bulk to make up for his lack of quickness either, and he isnt a good rebounder. So he better maximize his offensive versatility. He is a smart skilled player, but ya he needs to show big improvement in 3pt shooting and passing if he ever wants a chance to become a 1st round pick.

I think Kispert can become Hayward 2.0. Same size, skill set and athleticism. He's definitely a 1st rounder and should go anywhere from mid-late lottery to the teens. I didn't appreciate him before but now see how good he can be in the NBA provided he works hard and reaches his potential.

Hayward has wayyy more ballskills and is on a different level as an athlete.
Kispert is basically Joe Harris. Sometimes the most obvious comparison is the right one

I dont think he is Harris is the best comp maybe Harris light. He might be at some point that clutch from deep but he like Harris is sneaky athletic so maybe he brings another dimension at the next level in a larger role than college.
I definitely dont see Kispert at the same level of ball handler or playmaker as GH was coming into the league so its a bad comp but it probably is not that far of a stretch to say his BBiq is up there.
given the struggles he has defensively his stock probably has not moved up ending the season on a sour note
