We're going to have quite a few games like this from now to the end of the year. By that I mean teams where we clearly have the better starting lineup; but if our starters don't take control and maintain it ... we could easily lose to a team that is willing to hustle. Also, the most expendable starter is Barton and coincidently, he probably is the most ideal player to lead our bench and coach is going to have to find some way to make our bench viable - on both ends of the court.

The defense on Jerami Grant was just atrociously bad in that first quarter.

Great 2nd quarter.
- The bench played well (finally)
- Jokic is back to MVP Jokic
- They slowed down Grant

Weak opponent, but still it is nice to see the blowout win without Murray, over 70 points on halftime, good and useful Barton, and Jokic in MVP mode.

The Nuggets came to play with Murray out. It was not as close as the final score.
Canned in Denver.

Jokic was a maestro tonight. He just completely controlled the game with ease. Adding Gordon has just given him so many weapons that work well with his game. Not that there isn't a weapon that doesn't work well with his game

It was nice to see Grant playing so well --- even though it was not for us.
Plumlee didn't have a great game but Jokic is a tough match-up for most centers.
Denver had a nice game. It seemed like they were in control most of the game and didn't have to really assert themselves, but they asserted themselves enough.
How is it even possible that Detroit was only called for 12 fouls and the Nuggets only took 9 free throws? Watching the game, that's what leads me to believe the Nuggets didn't assert themselves too much because they just didn't head to the basket enough - that's where you get more FTs usually.
Barton did some nice Murray-imitations in pick-n-handoff with Jokic - but mostly he was playing Bartone-sque offense - and quite effectively.
Millsap & Green both had decent games off the bench. We need more of that if they are going to be effective in the playoffs.
It was nice to see Gary Clark get a few minutes.
Really enjoyed watching Dozier get significant minutes. IMO he needs to learn where he is effective from and how he fits on the Nuggets. Would love to see him focus on defense and avoid shooting 3s. He can get hot but he's most effective on offense when he's heading towards the basket. Loved seeing his 6 rebounds and 5 assists!
