Just want to take this moment to once again explain NBA refs are terrible. A player cannot hang on the rim, and tip the ball and that should have been a turnover.

Good grief already.

I think it's safe to say at this point that Bey is the goods. Stewart too.

The nuggets broadcast is trash with the overly loud rim mic

Bey is still highly inconsistent, very feast or famine lately, but that's not unexpected for a rookie. Arrows are pointing up though.

He's my pick for MVP for sure.

That and every contender for MVP are out with injury so he's basically the default choice haha

That shot from Jokic was just stupid lol, thats straight up crane technique level of against which there is no defense.

What excites me about Bey is that he seems to have it all, the shooting, the defense, and he has the body of a premiere player, 6'7 220lbs. He is stout, and you can't push him around.

Stewart seems to intimidate players when he's on them. He had a stretch where he switched like 3 times, damn near every position and no one made a move on him.

Very happy with those two picks.

One thing I can say without any doubt after watching the first half is that Hayes is a solid 7 possibly an 8 in terms of passing ability, Saben Lee is a 4 and DSJ is a 2. Joker is a solid 9 ( I reserve 10's for Magic's of the world).

If the Lakers and Nets continue to be banged up its anybodys game this season. Lakers AD and LBJ currently out and Nets missing Harden and Durant though Durant is back soon. Say come playoff time these guys are missing one of their big guys then somebody out of the Sixers/Bucks/Nuggs/Jazz/Clippers/Suns maybe Heat gonna have to win it. This is the most open season I've seen in awhile for anybody to win due to those injuries to the best teams.

Other than the Suns and heat I can’t see them beating any of those other teams 4 times healthy. But you’re right, injuries are part of the game and moreso this year

I dont know they went to the WCF last season beating a strong Clippers team in the process. They have a MVP level player, Murray, and rising star in MPjr. Millsap,Morris,Gordon, and Barton are nice depth. This is about to be 5 in a row since getting Gordon.

https://www.theringer.com/nba/2021/4/6/22369360/aaron-gordon-trade-denver-nuggets-nikola-jokic

Ringer just talked about how much better they've been since getting Gordon.

I dont think their a favorite by any means if both the Lakers and Nets are banged up but they surely have title equity in that case.

I agree with everyone on here, that Bey is looking like a good one. His shot is really translating in this league, he still shoots it weird though. Never seen a guy that shoots it so far out from his head and still makes it. Guys usually tucks in their shooting hand and guide hand a lot closer to their face

Not one player. He is a wierdo amalgamation of Butler, and Leonard. He is only a rookie, but he has a veteran presence, understands the flow of the game, and over time he is going to be a team leader without question.

He has almost the exact same body as Leonard, but the defense and moves of Butler.

You can tell he has post moves, and the ability to get into the lane but he's just been taking what he's been given so far this season.

Now those comparisons are just who he reminds me of, not saying he will end up being as good as either of them.

Until he puts the ball on the floor more, Battier or early Posey maybe. But he has much more potential to score off the bounce than either of those guys. Maybe if he develops that he'd be a Caron Butler type? Just spitballing.

It's really easy to reduce Bey down into the 3 + D mold, but he occasionally flashes the ability to drive and post up. If he can develop into a true 3 level scorer he might just make his own mold rather then fall into someone elses, his game is hard to make comparisons against right now.

I will add that he does seem that rare ability to get lost by the other team on offense, his defender should be glued to his ass at all times given how good a shooter he is, but he gets open 3's at a decent clip. It's an X-factor that some players have without any explanation.

This thread was 4 pages. The thread was comparing him to T.Harris which I see some of in Bey. A few people said Middleton. If hes anything around Middleton or Harris thats awesome.

The question with Bey is how much does he improve from 21yearold rookie to 26 year old. If he improves drastically then he could be an all star. Some older rookies dont drastically improve. Either way great pick.
