Privacy people. The issue wasn’t what he was doing, it was that he flaunted it on Instagram.

There are people who are fine with Pierce doing they, and there are people who aren’t fine. But the company expects its people to represent the company in a professional way.

That is not professional.

ESPN sells a magazine every year with naked athletes. Pretty funny that they’re taking the high ground now. Lol

They do....

I suspect ESPN if someone brought this up to their attention would just say those athletes may be naked during photo shoots but they are not true nude shots. I have never bought any of those Body issues but I have seen the covers and in the covers at least, I have never seen an athlete's private parts completely exposed. Their larger point would be those shots are not meant to be mimicking sexual acts and the photos include both men and women and not just women.

There is a difference between a ESPN photo shoot that is deemed in good taste vs PP high or drunk with strippers twerking and rubbing their asses in his face. Like I said couldn't care less what PP did and I am not bothered at all by it but clearly Disney was a not a fan.

It's in the production, no? It's marketed as art in a magazine. Plenty of art and photography that isn't pornographic captures nude. It's totally different.

Who knows what Pierce's family thinks of this? It's fairly deviant, and to villify anyone who condemns his behavior, or projects personal judgements of societal morality onto him is still taking a moral stance, and missing the point, I think.

At the end of the day, an employee, a married man and father posted a video of himself smoking marijuana with strippers on a public platform his employers can see. This isnt professional, and he was fired for it, as he should have been.

Some people think that his behavior was classless with justified vocational consequences. I'm one of them.

Still love Pierce and he's my favorite player ever, but this was foolish.

If he gets what he wants out of it, (out of a contract, better job), then awesome.

Edit: I just read this entire thread. Surprised.

And, if it happens to be your thing, tactfully indulging in some weed and/or women, is fine with me.
And I DNGA flying **** how many NBA players (or movie stars or billionaires) regularly partake in this meaningless crap.
If you are 44, married & a loving parent of 3 young children (who can access social media), getting high while strippers massage you & stick their asses in your face, & then posting it for the whole **** world to see (or, for that matter, even NOT posting it) are unspeakably immature behaviors which flagrantly disrespect/humiliate yourself & your entire family.
I'm with the good doctor on this one.

disappointing to see kkeltic nation's lil ol peasant rebellion against their sovereign The Truff. many of you all were raised up basking in the warm glow of his shine and enjoying the victories he brought to our land.

now u want to place ur own greengrocer morality onto the sovereign? this borders on the absurd

this is how Truth came up. where did u go to hs?

Image

and now for the bloodlines

Image

are u beginning to see the bona fides and how ridiculous it is for kkeltic nation to even try to pass judgement on The One Who Came Back From the Dead?

Image

lastly what are u all passing judgement on? a lil ol tuesday night poker game with the fellers along with some light entertainment? b thankful he deigned to share a lil view of the goodlife w u groundlings. its not like the entertainment was under the poker table for pete's sake... a very normal and PG-13 rated tuesday night poker game

mangIna standing w The Truth yesterday today and tomorrow tigers. yall are free to peasant out if you wish

Just because dudes come from an inner city high school doesn't mean they're immune to criticism. I love Pierce as a player and he's a good dude but no matter how you want to cut it, this was stupid and immature.

Is it a big deal? No, not really but it wasn't cool or smart. They'll add this example to the rookie symposium as to what not to do as a professional in the public spotlight.

I just think ESPN is a bunch of hypocrites. They have people on their payroll that have done much worse. Pierce messed up sending it live to everyone, but like someone mentioned earlier, this is the guy that tweeted a clip art rocket. I love this man.

I love Paul Pierce. Favorite player ever. The clips were hilarious. WE BEEN TO TURKEYS BEFORE. That's all I have to add.
