In short, I am less impressed than most by 32 points! but there was still much to like with Vuce's game.

He could've easily passed 40 had the zebras actually called some fouls for him

Yeah he was not "hot" or "on" by any means. He missed a ton of shots that he would normally make. I think the positive is that his shot was broke and still manages to produce like this.

Even with his shot off, he went into a bag of tricks to still produce. It's not like Lauri if his shot is off, he might as well go sit on the bench and sulk. Vuc rebounded, esp the offensive glass, he set screens, he cut a few times. He passed quite a bit, should have had more than 5 assists with a better team. He started spotting up instead of pick & popping. Even drove from the 3 point line once, and he's not our best iso guy by a long shot.

Being able to produce in other ways than his bread & butter hook & pick & pop is important because when the play in tournament comes down to just 2 games, teams aren't going to just roll over. Teams will be playing at least as hard as Indiana, swarming all over the Bulls and disrupting exactly the shots they know we want to take. Bulls will need to score on counters, and I'm not sure if any Bull other than Vuc has any game outside of their normal game.

He could've easily passed 40 had the zebras actually called some fouls for him
Or if he had made the 4 bunnies he missed off PnR passes from Zach.

People tend to confuse shooting poorly with playing poorly.

I thought Zach played some of his best basketball ever in the first half. His shot wasn't wet but he was making great passing decisions, rebounding, playing defense. Only turnover was a really tough pass from Thad in traffic. He had a couple lapses in the 2nd half or I would have looked at it as one of his best games ever outside of shooting.

Same with Vuc. He played a great game all around. Started off cold shooting wise but played great, again with I believe 2 exceptions (2 bad passes that resulted in turnovers).

Yup, none of those shots he took looked like bad shots. The only bad shot I saw last night was when TBJ forced up that off balance, off the backboard, corner three. He'll have to work on shooting under pressure, you just knew that was off.

It looks a lot better when you consider be shot zero free throws. He was .482% from the floor and .571% from 3. If you are going to take a high volume of shots, that’s still pretty good.

You guys are nuts. It has to be The LaVooch. It sounds like something banned by the Catholic Church.

To me at least, development of the younger players, and getting the team to be familiar with Billy and his system is priority over wins, though getting more wins along the way would be nice also.

We still need to make more moves, but we have found two solid foundational players in Zach, Vuc and Pat, and it's just now a matter of finding which of the other players on the roster fit long term and continue to build the team. The future is looking bright in my eyes, and I think it's next season where we become a legitimate playoff team, and make a splash.

I don’t know what Billy does, but this is how we were worried at the beginning of season

Read on Twitter

LaVooch missed a lot of shots off their pick and roll/pop plays yesterday leading to their less than efficient production, but it's just a matter of time before those shots start going down. Those are all looks they both normally make.

I thought he killed it tonight with the rotations. Helps to have NBA players available at the wing.

It was a tighter 8 player rotation. It’s better when they use less guys especially for tough games or playoffs but the bulls actually have options on the bench and would be hard to do just 8 all the time.

Donovan basically only chose to leave Valentine out compared to other games, Theis and Temple weren’t available. The 10 player rotation has been a bit of a problem though so far and that’s why some have criticized Donovan for it.Not necessarily the players faults but all those subs take the team out of rhythm. Maybe better chemistry is needed who knows but a tighter rotation usually works better.

The problem right now with a tight rotation is that we have a ton of games in a short amount of time coming up. It's time to heavily lean into the bench.

Exactly that’s why I expect Donovan to go back to 10 again.

Zachola sounds like a special partnership with Zach lavine and Coca-Cola at participating McDonald's lol

I kinda like nikolavine

As for the game we beat the teams we supposed to. It's not uncommon a lot of teams are benefiting from playing teams without key guys. What's Strange is how even though we went long stretches without keys guys the expectations was still for us to win and we seem to never sight injuries or guys being out as to why we lost a game its always we could have done something to still win.

We have more games coming that will have key guys our. Bum slaying or not we can only beat who in front of us. We might face the grizz with no ja morant. We need to really put together a winning streak.
