Ice Man wrote:I'm not terribly impressed with 32 points on 29 shots. But Vuce scored more efficiently after his slow start, and he makes the right decisions on offense. When he gets the ball he moves if it that is required, and shoots if not. He is neither selfish nor afflicted by hesitation. That's where his experience shines.
In short, I am less impressed than most by 32 points! but there was still much to like with Vuce's game.

Or if he had made the 4 bunnies he missed off PnR passes from Zach.mtron32 wrote:Ice Man wrote:I'm not terribly impressed with 32 points on 29 shots. He could've easily passed 40 had the zebras actually called some fouls for him

People tend to confuse shooting poorly with playing poorly.
I thought Zach played some of his best basketball ever in the first half. His shot wasn't wet but he was making great passing decisions, rebounding, playing defense. Only turnover was a really tough pass from Thad in traffic. He had a couple lapses in the 2nd half or I would have looked at it as one of his best games ever outside of shooting.
Same with Vuc. He played a great game all around. Started off cold shooting wise but played great, again with I believe 2 exceptions (2 bad passes that resulted in turnovers).

WINNER!
Sorry, Stratmaster.

To me at least, development of the younger players, and getting the team to be familiar with Billy and his system is priority over wins, though getting more wins along the way would be nice also.
We still need to make more moves, but we have found two solid foundational players in Zach, Vuc and Pat, and it's just now a matter of finding which of the other players on the roster fit long term and continue to build the team. The future is looking bright in my eyes, and I think it's next season where we become a legitimate playoff team, and make a splash.

I thought he killed it tonight with the rotations. Helps to have NBA players available at the wing.
It was a tighter 8 player rotation. It’s better when they use less guys especially for tough games or playoffs but the bulls actually have options on the bench and would be hard to do just 8 all the time.
Donovan basically only chose to leave Valentine out compared to other games, Theis and Temple weren’t available. The 10 player rotation has been a bit of a problem though so far and that’s why some have criticized Donovan for it.Not necessarily the players faults but all those subs take the team out of rhythm. Maybe better chemistry is needed who knows but a tighter rotation usually works better.
The problem right now with a tight rotation is that we have a ton of games in a short amount of time coming up. It's time to heavily lean into the bench.
