This is the front-end of a back-to-back, gotta have KP play at least one. He will for sure not play the second game. Also Maxi has lower leg pain again (I surmise the covid-fatigue is still creeping up) which might explain also his putrid shooting the last week or so, he might not play again. We really need Nico to hit open shots!

Now for some positivity: I am slowly starting to think the team is onto something this year. The record with Luka on the court is stellar the last few months and I am not giving up on the JJ Redick addition. I think he still has a lot to give, when playing for a playoff team (remember he missed the playoffs for the first time in his career last year, after having career numbers in Philly). He has to eat Trey Burke's minutes and some of J-Rich's imho.

Keep it up! I don't care if Melli doesn't score, he could be the "Ben Wallace" for this team. He needs to keep playing.

They should easily beat the Rockets without KP so I wouldnt play him or only play him 20-25 min, depending on who is available for this game. They dont have much chance to beat the Bucks without him. Lets see what they do but I dont have much confidence in this FO to make the right decision. Maybe they will just go for a high probability win tonight and play everyone and then rest KP and Luka tomorrow.

I expect them to come out swinging hard early in this game so that they can rest the rotation guys in the second half. Under no circumstances should any starter play 30+ minutes tonight.... and I agree, keep KP out, play Luka 20 minutes tonight

The Rockets blew the Mavs out the last time, their forwards and Boogie had career nights.

Last time the Mavs were a different team. Today should be an easy W for them if they keep their level of play from the past few weeks. Even without KP.

Ben Wallace is a pretty high bar for Melli

Hehe yeah, that's why i used ".." He could be someone who purely focuses on defense and hustle plays. Would be nice if he could knock down some open shots though. But let's see in the next couple of games how he does and if he continues playing great.

If KP plays tonight and rests tomorrow, that is going to be one of the dumbest things ever. But we'll see.

Sluggish start that included the dreaded KP 30 foot attempt.

Can’t wait till we move on from this chucker

Doncic trying a floater from 20 feet away... How can he think it's a okay shot?

Also, didn't they take Green in part because they didn't trust Bey's 3 pointer? Green's shooting is ugly and Bey's already a really good 3pt shooter.

I feel bad for Melli, he's overthinking it and has no confidence shooting the ball.

Hope he gets through it, if he gets back to his former self, he'll be a plus for this Mavs team.

What former self? The sample size is way too small. He had two games shooting well, taking 4 shots per game.

People have gotten way ahead of themselves with the guy. He's been bad for two years, and some people seems to think he's the saviour.
