Im not even sure my #1 is even an option here. For me its pretty much a tie between the mid range fadeaway, or a beautiful low post move. Whether it is the Dream shake or Kareem's Skyhook.
I find the skill needed to create clean looks in such tight contested spaces fantastic to watch.

Okay so a few things:
1 - These animations are awesome. Where are they from?
2 - I voted Step Back 3. I've got mixed feelings about that because I don't like how low percentage its success is, but I specifically find the "legwork" leading up to the shot attempt to be beautiful.
I think the Steph Curry 3 is the most exciting thing to ever hit the spot as something that you can expect to happen several many times in one game. Not as cool as the very best dunks and finishes, but every single Curry 3 feels like a dagger.
3 - I'd also want mention:
Dream Shake - beautiful post play as exemplified by Hakeem Olajuwon
Sleight of (Big) Hand - the types of stuff (tricks, spins, etc) you can do when you have massive hands to control the ball with a single hand, as exemplified by Connie Hawkins

I really like the crossover a la Irving, CP3, Curry. It's just as if they have the ball at a string.
Also, those animations are great.

100%. Those plays have everything that makes basketball wonderful-- grace and motion, contact and power.

it's the turn around jumper. All the others almost always involve some form of breaking the rules i.e. carries, traveling, pushing off.

MJ's fadeaway is the most beautiful, artistic move in the game of basketball. To me when you ask most people in their mind what they see when you think of basketball, most people will likely say either MJ or Kobe's fadeaway jumper.

First off, as others have said, the animations are dope. Second, for me it's a good jelly move. Kyrie is the master but Ja has had some good ones this year as well. I could watch that **** all day

I'm a sucker for players that are able to just walk up and pull up from 3. Especially those long range bombs a la Steph and Dame.
Those shimmy mid range's are beautiful to see but it's not prevalent in the game today anymore.
