Kawhi has missed games too.

In fact most of the MVP candidates have missed too many games.

Only thing that’s even a hinderance to Jokic’s
MVP credentials is team record which is the exact same as the Bucks lol. Plays in the West, Hasn’t missed a game, Best stats/offensively absurd season, one of the lower team setups around him (no all stars). His case is basically bulletproof now. Can’t see anyone besides Doncic going bananas getting it.
Even Giannis had a better year when the Bucks had a historic RS season.

I look at every MVP canditate case by case and it’s well short of Jokic every time.

Availability is valuable in of itself.

The national media are gonna try to find any reason not to give it to him. So Jokic just needs to stay at the level he is at and secure the nuggets a top 4 seed to give them no excuse.

Love my Luka, but I won't mention him again in this thread after tonight.

Horrible.

If he could hit his free throws, it would be almost a no contest at this rate (almost being because of Jokic and perhaps Embiid).
Guy has been killing it for the last 2 months and is doing one of the biggest carrying jobs I've seen in recent times.

 just took a fat L to one of the worst teams in the nba, and was a big reason why they lost. I'm sure you will hide until he has a good game.

meanwhile... jokic 25/9/9, with 9 mins left in the 4th, on a b2b.

The Aaron Gordon trade is going to hurt Jokic. The Nuggets are now too good that Jokic will have multiple games where he doesnt even play 30 minutes and his per game stats are going to take a hit...

Tongue in cheek post haha. Im sure there will be a few people that will look at his raw stats maybe taking a slight dip and say he shouldnt win. But ya tongue in cheek post. Ya it wont hurt him (or at least shouldnt haha).

25/9/10 in 30 minutes

For the 10th or 11th time this year he missed a triple double by one rebound or assist and didn't care to stat pad it.

Donovan deserves a mention here if nothing else. He’s been balling out lately.

It's a shame the Mavs have to tank the easy ones right after some tough wins.

I think the voting was gonna be extremely close b/w a handful of candidates but at this rate Jokic is gonna win it smooth sailing

It’s weird over there sometimes it’s only Embiid
left for me. They traded one of my boys Bradley, I got way too attached to him too quick lol

Do like the NBA Draft/Player Comp board it’s chill (I reckon thats where the true nerds are ;))

Luka was never really in this, to be honest. If you start the season bad individually, and the team takes a lot of time to climb above .500, that's not something you can overcome as an MVP candidate. He is fringe I guess, but it doesn't really matter what he does from here on out, that's not gonna be his year. Jokic on the other can lock this up in the next two-three weeks.

Gobert is very clearly Utah's MVP, though.

I guarantee Mitchell ends up getting more MVP votes than Gobert.
