I assume you watched him play for us, right?

I'm kinda happy that Jokic is running away with the MVP so we didn't have to complain about Giannis not winning again from voter fatigue.

He really is just so **** good. Would be criminal to give it to Harden or Embiid after the time they've quit on their team to get traded to another team with two superstars/missed due to injuries.

Can't wait for all the big market boot-lickers to lecture fans about how the inevitable Brooklyn/LA Finals is "great for basketball". It really does suck to see teams like us, Phoenix, Utah, and Denver all build organic, easy-to-root-for contending teams only to have a couple incompetent organizations recruit all the front-running, beta superstars simply because they exist geographically next to a giant body of salt water.

Deciding to ply your trade elsewhere in what is perceived to be a better workplace environment is not beta. It's exerting personal agency. If you've switched jobs and left a mediocre company with more amenities, more competent colleagues, etc, does that make you beta? In many ways NBA superstars differ from us in countless ways: expansiveness of portfolio, athletic gifts, availability/quality of sexual partners, personal hygiene (perhaps), but they are labor just like the rest of us shmucks. The NBA is there to benefit the owners and all other concerns lag far behind on the horizon, including competitive balance. I don't get the appeal of H-Town exotic dancers [well, I do, but I digress] or Brooklyn socialites, but if that's what you feel, y'know.

Players exercising their free agent rights is one thing, but I'm not about the "better workplace" argument. Let's stop pretending that we don't know what the driving factor is/was in these guys' decisions. Pretty incredible that they've never had any serious neck/whiplash injuries due to how quickly they recoil from adversity.

There's room for nuance with this. Like I don't have a problem with either one of Durrants career moves, he was a FA and can do what he wants. But I also thought his choice of GS was bad for the league even if it was good for him.

I do have a problem with how Harden acted in Houston especially since he had a hand in creating that mess.

Kyrie seems like a tool but I only really have a problem with how he forced his way out of Cleveland.

As an expert on the "Beta Cuck" attitude (according to the angry maskless individual at Menards last week), I feel as though I have a unique insight to this conversation.

You wanna play with your friends? Fine. Do that.
You wanna play for a better organization? Fine. Do that.
You sign a contract to play for one ownership group and GM and then those two things change and your situation goes to hell? GTFO ASAP.

Mike Conley has more old man game than an octogenarian D&D tournament.

Yeah, I'll disagree with that.

Here at Chonestown HQ we take a pause from praxis [we talkin' about praxis?] and recognize the greatness of elders. Larry Bird, Bob Parrish and Kevin McHale may have formed the greatest frontline of all time, but on this day 25 years ago they were rendered mortal by the luscious follicles and silky smooth touch of a true mutherluvin' G.

Respect due.

 Lavine's offense is probably now at the point where he's worth playing. We're running Forbes out in NBA games sabotaging the defense for 3-4 nice jump shots a game.
