there is no one on the roster with any combination of picks that could get us the #1 pick in this draft.

i more or less agree, but that's why i'm specifying the wizards. i think they would be a good mark. i can see them taking randle, knox, and a few 1sts since they're stuck in the beal/westbrook situation

yeah if they decided to trade the #1 overall pick in Cade...they would get a ton more from other teams than Randle+Knox+other 1sts. They could get a haul...and randle isn't a haul.

good chance Boston will be there w/ the Pistons pick tho

2nd round is where he's projected right now + teams picking in the back of the 1st round are mostly contenders who want players who can help them win now....Boston ain't that player; he's a project

Toppin was supposed to help us win now and he’s a 23 year old project. I’d rather just throw some chances on a young kid at least. Jaden McDaniels was supposed to be a top 10 pick and was terrible in the ncaa, few here wanted him, and he’s now showing some flashes after going in the late 1st, that’s about the category I see Boston in. Maybe by the time these kids hit age 20 they’ll turn into something

I agree with trying to knock the ball out of the park. The only older player I would consider is Kispert, because we desperately need shooting. Great college shooters usually translate to the next level, with the new style of play in the NBA.

This is why I suggest trading Randle. Maybe we could get a few mid to late first rounders for him, and we could build around a young squad in RJ, Mitch, IQ, a couple of 19 year olds out of this draft (maybe 3 if we trade Randle). Let's go for the full rebuild with guys who are all around the same age. We can still add these one year vets as needed to build out the rest of the roster. If there's one thing the Knicks are 'good' at, it's finding vets that can contribute. I'm not sure that's something to be proud of, but it's worth mentioning.

In regards to McDaniels, he sure would look good in a Knicks uni. Another guy we missed out on. We could have traded down twice, gathered a few more assets (maybe a future first), and drafted him. The kid looks like he's going to pretty solid in the league for a long time to come.

On the bright side they got us taking Ayo with the Mavs pick

Would you mind posting his top 20, or whatever you have access to? I would like to see their mock, but don't have ESPN plus (and I'm not getting it)

You'll love Barnes from Day 1 if we are lucky enough to get him. He's a dog like RJ and IQ, and he'll make an impact right away.

Thing is, he's not a prototypical power forward. He can play and guard 1-5. He's more of a point forward wing than a banger down low.

Some of you guys on here need to look into him further. He has all the skills to be a star in the league. The sky is the limit for him. Give the guy a chance.

Also, we could trade Randle in this scenario and maybe get a few more #1's moving forward.

I want Barnes and Ayo. I'd be the happiest Knicks fan alive. I'm going to post my evaluation over and over so I can come back and bump this thread a year from now.

I think he's got all the skills the be a star. Plus, at 19, he won't be getting Obi type minutes. Thibs will fall in love with his fire and heart, and his D and ability to play multiple positions. He's going to force his way into the lineup with his dog/winning mentality. HE'S NOT ANOTHER OBI!!

No. He's become one of those high risers in every draft that showed out bigtime in the tournament. He's too old, too small, has too small of wingspan. I do like his D and tenacity, but that's not enough to be a star at the next level. He needs the measurables as well.

You DO NOT draft Mitchell in the top 10. If I could get him where he was before the tourney, in the late teens or late 1st round, maybe. But I don't see him being anything other than an off the bench role player in the NBA.

I think the best case scenario the Warriors wind up with the 4th pick with either their own or Minnesota. They should really consider a package centered around Randle. We would get Jalen Green and maybe Wiseman. Doesn't solve our pg problem. But our Wings would be set for the next 10 years. With Green and RJ. Also if Mitch wants too much money we now have an opportunity to trade him and keep developing Wiseman.

Barnes doesn’t help us. We need guards that can shoot. Barnes is just a PF that can’t shoot or create off the dribble

I'd be upset if we draft Barnes, that would be 3 of our last 4 lottery picks being on tweener 4s, that would show the front office has no idea how to build a team.

We have a top 3 defense, we need offense.

I still like Neemias Queta with one of our later picks

Obviously we need upgrades at guard but he could be a good value pick with that Detroit 2nd rounder
DENVER NUGGETS
Kyrie Irving/Josh Green/Dennis Schroder
Demar Derozan/Gordon Hayward/Amir Coffey
Torrey Craig/Gary Harris/Cedi Osman
Jarace Walker/Larry Nance Jr./Dominick Barlow
Xavier Tillman/Charles Bassey/Nick Richards

Can someone please be so kind and tell me what happened to Scottie Lewis. Wasn't he top 5 recruit coming out of highschool. Didn't hear much about him last year of this year.

And it looks like Davion is starting to become a pipe dream now. Man I was on this guy since February and nobody was talking about him now he’s going lottery smh

On the bright side they got us taking Ayo with the Mavs pick

You're usually up to about 10-12 prospects that you've told us you like by February...LOL

You'll love Barnes from Day 1 if we are lucky enough to get him. He's a dog like RJ and IQ, and he'll make an impact right away.

He is but if we come out of another offseason with PG and shooting not being our top options then i'll be pissed. I love me some defense and if the PG and shooters can also play defense then that's a plus but i'm so sick of the Knicks not having a true PG.

Would you mind posting his top 20, or whatever you have access to? I would like to see their mock, but don't have ESPN plus (and I'm not getting it)

We shouldn't pass on Josh Giddey or C.Kispert. I do love Barnes and would love to have him but give me Giddey 1st or Kispert 2nd if the draft goes that way.
