the USA women soccer team is much better than the USA men soccer team which is a joke these days, the Women team should be paid more

Re: Rapinoe vs Green... who you got?
I think the true problem is with FIBA in regards to pay
If it is true that Women’s soccer in USA garners more revenue then quite rightly should be paid more
Simple market economics 101
Women’s Tennis has been there since the beginning basically it’s definitely been the number one sport for females hence why they get paid well at the top.
UFC in general underpays even their superstars (Jones for example) still Rousey got a nice sum (more then some ATG’s
but as always market sets the price) during her hype run.
Conor at one stage was bringing in like 75% revenue that’s one person. His infamous comment about the red panties thing in like his 4th fight is very true he sent the UFC into the stratosphere.
All about the market. If there is an undercut (happens a lot in sports, NBA for example because of the cap LBJ isn’t getting close to what he is really worth in comparison to other players) Rapinoe is quite in her rights as a person to comment on it.
Don’t think Green is aware of the full details. Has nothing to do with women’s basketball imo.

The fallacy that men’s sports are better or more entertaining is something we have all been indoctrinated into by sexist stereotypes present throughout our education.
What an utterly lazy and nonsensical analysis.
"U only like what u like b.c u got indoctrinated!"
Or perhaps, we all have lived on this planet for years and have made multivariate determinations of what we find pleasurable and entertaining?
Generally speaking, when the vast majority of people aren't interested in watching a certain sport, it may be simply because the sport itself isn't very good. The whole "sexist stereotypes" argument holds no water when other female sports are outperforming WNBA including Soccer/Tennis/Volleyball. If we are oh so conditioned to be sexist, why are we tuning into other female sports?
WNBA games like incredibly cheap to attend and almost always available to watch for free online. It's very accessible to watch. I've paid 200$ for 2x court side seats during the WNBA playoffs. The product sucks. The absolute best WNBA team ever assembled would get destroyed by a G-League team, so why should I watch inferior talent? I don't go out of my way to watch random high school games or even college games simply because the talent isn't there.
It has zero to do with sexism and everything to so with quality of product and it's irresponsibly lazy to imply otherwise.

It’s based on what FIBA pays based on what overall FIBA generates, the men generate more money overall. It has nothing to do with what the USA pays out.

Re: Rapinoe vs Green... who you got?
The narrative that the WNBA players are getting paid a less percentage is utterly false.
The current BRI in the NBA that the players get is 49% (See https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/29161104/nba-nbpa-agree-extend-cba-termination-deadline-september).
That means that each team in the NBA gets roughly 1.63% (49/30) of BRI.
The current BRI in the WNBA is 20% (closest accurate link I could find is here: https://www.swishappeal.com/wnba/2018/7/31/17633152/wnba-player-salaries-revenue-share-opportunities)
That means each team in the WNBA gets 1.67% (20/12) of BRI.
Guess what, the WNBA players get paid technically more (per team) that the NBA players do in terms of BRI. They also play far fewer games and compete against far fewer sports (basically baseball).

Actually, the women are advocating for equal pay and investment for female athletes and Draymond has repeatedly responded that they should stop complaining.
What do you think? Is rapinoe and other female athletes advocating for simular pay and invest right or is Draymond right and the market of supply and demand should decide?
Snaquille Oatmeal would like for me to revise my OP to better relate the info between Green and Rapinoe. Instead of that I'll just add his take to my OP
"You should definitely revise your post and add that the reason why Meghan is clapping back at Green is because Green is saying that he is tired of women in sports complaining about equal pay AND they should do X, Y, and Z instead and Meghan is replying by educating Green on the fact that they have already been doing X, Y, and Z and they get ignored and dismissed and uses his post as an example."
Why don't you actually explain Draymond's point? Lol. You make it seem like he believes women doesn't deserve equal pay.

We are David in a world of Goliaths in International Soccer for the men. Expecting the US to compete at large against teams like France, Spain, Brazil, Germany, Italy, etc isn't a realistic goal. The level of competition in Women's Soccer vs Men's Soccer isn't even remotely a fair comparison.

Golf, Gymnastics, Figure skating are legit great imo.
All three are very skill intensive (probably at the top imo) so it takes away the psychical advantage that men have. Like age 20 your a veteran
High lvl MMA (Shev, Nunes, Zhang, Jo, Cyborg, Thug Rose, GDR, Holmes) is the best it’s ever been.
Nunes is absurd, Shev may have boring fights (not for me koed a fighter with a brilliant leg kick) but technical wise she’s one of the best fighters in the world man or women. Rate her as high as anyone.
PVP if she was 20 pounds heavier and the same height as Nunes it would be even money (still gave the GOAT in Nunes trouble that’s saying a heck of a lot).

Incorrect. We acknowledge it. But what the other side ignores is the context that allows men to accept the other deal due to being subsidized by the higher wages in club football.
Context always matters, but unfortunately there is this rush to diminish women's sports as quickly as possible so people latch on to this story and think its a mic drop. It's sadly not.

Shoould male Supermodels, who no one recognize get the same money as the female Supermodels who have a way bigger reach and following like Adriana Lima etc. ?
They get paid way less, which bothers no one and rightfully so. If your league makes way less money, then its obvious that there would be no equal pay

As I said in my previous post, the WNBA players (in terms of percentage for each team) get paid more than the NBA players do. I have no problem with the players trying to get as much as they can. It is however, intellectually dishonest to say that the WNBA players are getting paid less than the NBA players when they have far fewer teams and are getting a bit more in terms of percentage.
I think Adam Silver is sincere in trying to raise revenues for the WNBA. The issue is that women aren't supporting the WNBA players. Older men have been the backbone of the league since its inception. If women (in general terms) are more interested in watching real housewives or the Kardashians, than exactly what can the NBA do?

It spurred a good dialogue, but we won't have it here sadly.
