I think Keon has a good enough handles to play some point guard also. He resembles a taller George Hill to me, with more hops.

Now hold on here lol. I mean outside of Green, I think Bouknight and Keon are the best SGs in the lotto ( Moody I think is more of a SG/SF ). But keon play PG?I dont think he has the court vision/awareness you need for that position. Also, playing with Springer means he wasnt as hounded when he brings up the ball so I dunno about how accurate that handle part of his game is. I could be wrong.

I think he fits really well with a team like the Wolves.

Slot him in as the 5th starter with Russell-Beasley-Edwards-Towns and utilize him as a defender and passer for the scorers?

The problem is, the Wolves lose their pick if it’s outside the top 3. So they can’t get Barnes without a trade or a massive reach.

How about this scenario ...

The Wolves land the top pick and trade it to a team with 2 top 10 picks ... like the Orlando Magic!!

This assumes Orlando falls outside the range to grab one of the 3 guards they covet. So we trade BOTH picks to Minny who then gets Barnes + another lottery contributor.

Surely this would hinge on WeHam locking in on one guy they love but I would do it for any of the top 3 slots Minny might land on. Just give me one of Cade, Suggs or Green.

ESPN has us at 4 taking Green (yay!), and 8, taking Jalen Johnson (Meh)
https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/31209403/nba-mock-draft-new-picks-prospects-rise-ncaa-tournament
He has Bouknight at 17 and Moody at 21. FYI.

Given we got rid of AG, Chief, Clark and Birch with Ennis and possibly Bacon likely not coming back ... I would absolutely look at a flex SF/PF with the Chicago pick.

If Scottie Barnes is sitting there I just don’t see how we pass.

However, Jalen Johnson is an option as well.

Don't really know JJ that well, only reason for the "meh".

Same im fine with the pure SF model. Somoen like zaire wagner jalen kispert even moody. Although i see moody more of a sf/sg whilr jalen sf/pf. But yeah as you said, with the trades we might need more size.

Jalen is talented enough to be slotted where he's at....that being said the character issues though.......

that's kind of what I heard.
I remember when he quit Duke, he had been moved out of the starting line up I believe.

as much as i rag about jalen, i honestly dont know if its character issues or its the problem.between.his ears or even bad advice from his handlers.

if its character issues, then stay away from him. we dont want a quitter ( which is what he has been doing a lot )

Currently the Bulls pick is now #11.

Between Franz Wagner, Ziaire Williams, and James Bouknight, I like Wagner.

Green at 4 is fine.

I’d take Barnes with the Chicago pick and not think twice about it.

Here's where I'm at as of April 9th...

If the Magic hit the lottery with their pick (pick 1-4)
1. Cade Cunningham
2. Jalen Suggs
3. Jalen Green

If the Magic do not hit the lottery with their own pick (pick 6-8)
1. Trade up into top 4
2. Scottie Barnes
3. Moses Moody

Bulls pick (pick 9-15)
1. Moses Moody
2. Alperen Şengün
3. Franz Wagner
4. Jaden Springer

Springer seems to have that and is definitely more crafty than athletic. Keon is an athletic freak from what I’ve seen but he shot 45/27/70. Not terrible but not great either. His ast/TO ratio isn’t great and Springer is supposedly a better defender (I haven’t seen videos for that side of the ball yet and just going by a few scouting reports).

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate Keon but think I would prefer Springer so far.

I think you just haven't gotten around to studying the other prospects. Springer has things that can attract you, but imo he just doesn't have the ceiling that others do.

Yeah i was about to say the same. Theres a reason most draft has Springer in the late teens ot 20 at the most. He just seems limited compared to his peers in the lotto

It's possible that I just haven't seen enough from others but the same thing was likely said about players like Booker when others wanted him in the early lottery. I wasn't one of them because I looked at the big boards and thought he just wasn't good enough but you go back and look at the splits (47/41/83), he was an efficient freshman in a good conference and should have gone sooner based on that and not just hindsight.

That would be a very impressive draft for us. I would be happy as hell with that one!

I also wouldn't mind Duarte with Bulls pick if it's 15.

Cade's IQ is impressive AF. Hearing how he reads the defense then seeing how he dissects them is why we need him. At 19yrs old, kid sounds like Lebron/Durant/CP when they breakdown plays/film. His future is so bright and pray that we're lucky enough to be the fans that enjoy it most.

I agree with the high level strategy. I posted the other day about consolidating the 2 picks to get back into the top group if we miss out.

I still have it ordered Cade, Green, Suggs but that is personal preference.

With our lack of a premier scorer and sudden reliable depth at the forward spots, my dream scenario is:

Magic Pick = Cade or Green
Chicago Pick = Scottie Barnes

Things I would do to be able to get the number 1 pick and select Cade. I can't say enough how high I am on him.
