So there have been 41 high schoolers selected in the NBA Draft, 2 in 1975 and then 39 from 95-2005.
This netted 1 GOAT candidate: Lebron
2 all-timers: KG and Kobe
4 additional stars: TMac, Amare, Jermaine O'Neal, Dwight Howard
Rashard Lewis and Tyson Chandler the best of the rest which include some solid but not spectacular players like Monta, Al Jefferson, Perkins, Diop, DeShawn, CJ Miles, Josh and JR Smith, etc...
Then a number of total busts or near as--your Swift, Leon Smith, Telfair, Lang etc...
The hype ration of high schoolers has been out of wack. Less than 4 were taken on average in the 11 years this was a thing. 4. So that deepens the draft very little. Sure it helps the top of the draft, but by the end of the lottery the draft pool of a double draft is likely as shallow as ever.
The added value to a double draft was always only at the top despite the hysterics here about late 2nds being super valuable. Helps sometimes to look at the actual numbers.
