The King James Draft R1 - Goober* vs. MJ23datruGOAT

Post#1 » by Fadeaway_J » Thu Apr 8, 2021 1:18 am

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

**First to 4 votes advances. If neither team has 4 votes after 24 hours, first to 3 votes advances, provided we aren't already tied 3-3.**

Jason Kidd(38)/Aaron McKie(10)
Ray Allen(38)/Aaron McKie(10)
Vince Carter(38)/Royce O'Neale(10)
Kevin Garnett(38)/Royce O’Neale(10)
Ben Wallace(38)/Shawn Bradley(10)

2004-2005 Kevin Garnett 16.6 FGA
2003-2004 Jason Kidd 14.3 FGA
2008-2009 Ray Allen 13.3 FGA
2005-2006 Ben Wallace 5.7 FGA
2004-2005 Vince Carter 20.0 FGA
2019-2020 Royce O'Neale 5.1 FGA
2003-2004 Shawn Bradley 3.0 fga
2003-2004 Aaron Mckie 7.7

85.7 FGA

Write up:

Any defense anchored by KG and Wallace will be absolutely elite. We also have a lot of offensive fire power in Kidd/Allen/Carter/KG. Carter and Allen will be able to flourish from the playmaking that Kidd/KG provide.

In regards to the matchup I actually think Wallace is the perfect type of center to guard Giannis with his extreme athleticism and rim protecting ability. Kidd is a great defense against Nash

Kidd should be able to feast on Nash, Carter should be able to feast on Stojakovic. Our offense will be really explosive. I assume MJ will put Giannis on KG but Battier vs Wallace would be quite ugly. Even though Wallace is a poor offensive player, he should still score with relative ease through second chance points as he will easily outrebound anyone that MJ uses to guard him.

All in all I like my teams fit more and I think my overall defense and offensive talent is better.

Good luck!

Goober's strengths will be too strong and MJ won't able to attack his weaknesses.

Nash+Peja+Giannis is an insane offensive trio, but Goober's writeup did more to convince me than MJ's did.

MJ, do a write up man! I love your roster but I want a little more.

I'll hold off from voting for now but MJ has my favorite roster.

It's a close matchup. Giannis/Nash is a fun duo to build around but Big Ben and KG are two of the best Giannis defenders out there, especially Big Ben imo. With one of those guys guarding Giannis and the other in position to help, it's just going to make life hard for MJ23's team. The Nash/Giannis PnR is as good as it gets, but Kidd/KG/Big Ben to defend it is also about as good as it gets. Prime KG surrounded by two strong perimeter scorers in VC and Ray Allen with Prime Kidd running the show is strong enough offensively to lead Goober to the win.
