Shai OG Fvv is a great young core. Then in 2 years time you have horford’s expiring and you could get another complimentary piece in FA.

And you still have all your future draft picks.

If we trod that lineup out we will be in the running for Chet. So maybe you’re onto something...

You obviously aren’t as high on Shai as me. And that’s ok. But how about you actually add something to this convo besides being a smart ass.

I have suggested things, just because I don’t agree with you doesn’t mean I’m not contributing to the convo. With that being said, if you think SGA Dort and Horford makes this team better than Lowry + Pascal then I guess we will agree to disagree. I don’t see that team doing much better than the team we have right now. And while I think this bad season is a blessing in disguise I have no enthusiasm to blow up a decent core to ride the lottery for 5+ years. If that’s you’re thing then fine.

I mean come on you suggest trading pascal and a top 5 pick for SGA dort and horford. You got to be insane if you think Masai does a deal like that for sga and wouldn’t even give og or siakam for KL. Id take 1 year of KL over 10 years of SGA 10/10.

That’d be pretty cool. So pascal + top 5 pick for shai + dort + horford (they’d probably want us to take that horrendous contract)

Fvv
Shai
Trent
OG
Horford

I’d look to package Boucher for a starting level 3 and we’ve got a nice young team there.

Lol I’m so glad Masai is our President!

Masai's contract is up at the end of the year. Until he is signed, there is no guarantee he will not seek a bigger challenge and payday elsewhere.

That’s fine I have confidence that Bobby isn’t an idiot.

SGA is 22. Pascal is 27. There’s a low chance that too 5 pick turns out as good as SGA.

Lowry shouldn’t be a part of this convo because he won’t be on this team long term regardless. And even if he is he won’t be 29 year old Lowry.

SGA - 22 and will be an RFA so on a controlled contract
OG - 23 and locked in for the next 4 years
Trent - 22 and will be locked in for 4 years after the off season
Fvv - 26

No that team won’t sent the world on fire right away. But it gives them plenty of time to figure it out. If you believe in Masai like I do - you’ll trust that he can surround those guys with nice pieces through the draft and FA.

And Masai didn’t give up pascal for Kawhi because he didn’t have to! He already gave up demar who Spurs considered enough. It’s not that he didn’t want to give up pascal. It’s that he didn’t want to give up demar AND pascal.

Listen I love SGA as a player and prospect.

And the reason I brought up Lowry is because he’s on the team this year and I don’t see the team you posted being much better than this team we have this year hence why I said we’d be in the running for Chet. So yes I do have confidence Masai can lead us through a rebuild. I’m just being realistic in knowing he’s not trading pascal and a top 5 pick for SGA and undrafted Dort who isn’t all that good and the albatross that is horford.

So you think Masai trades pascal and Jakob for KL? If salary wasn’t a factor.

Well this game was tragic. And with Siakam well rested we probably win tomorrow too. Without Jarret Allen the Cavs have no interior presence.

Bad day for the tank.

It was fun while it lasted about dreaming for a top 5 pick, but being realistic now, this team will probably be drafting as low as 9th, and high as 16 (if it makes the playoffs). This team signed Birch, and is going all in for the tenth place "play in game". Sacremento is fading as well. When FVV and Lowry returns, I think we can all stop dreaming about the top 5 pick. This team might will reach that tenth slot, and eventually the playoffs. OKC, Cleveland, Washington, will be battling for spots 5-7. Sacremento most likely 8th.

Raptors will leapfrog the Bulls by next week. TIme for the top 5 pick fantasy to disappear for now. If this team was serious about tanking, it should have done so in January when I hoped for. Hope the fans enjoy being swept out of the first round and drafting 16th. This team will make the play in game, when all starters return and with the signing of Birch. This team will not be able to "out tank" the horrible teams ahead of them, who are tanking efficiently. I am going to stop dreaming about Suggs and Cade now. It is not going to happen.

Raptors aren't leapfrogging the Bulls.
Wizards and kings could end up with a higher/better record.

Those odds mean nothing. With Birch, a healthy Lowry and FVV back, and the rest of the players getting confidence and playing well (Flynn, Boucher, Trent)- this team is better than Chicago, and will be one win back after tonight.

This win and the Wizards game are too much to overcome. Going to end up somewhere above 10.

I think we stay around 7–8. Kings losing like crazy. We’re winning some bs games, especially vs fellow tanking teams.
