Aldridge doesn’t help the team much, he’s good offensively but below average defensively. We already have a terrific offence and needed to shore up our D, he got bullied tonight by Drummond.

Not overreacting based on one game, this was one that was a statement game and im very disappointed that we didn't come out and give it our all but at the end of the day it means nothing.
We knew we had issues with the 3 issues all season
1. Playing down to bad opposition
2. Lack of physicality
3. Questionable in game coaching
Well this game was one where we had all 3 reflect unfavorably on us I'm actually glad now that it happened on national TV on a statement game since it'll keep the team hungry. Ultimately our big 3 staying healthy and the team going throw lows and rebounding from them is the purpose of the regular season.
Having said that, the lack of effort was just terrible. Lakers we're getting zero resistance in their shots, they're one of the worst shooting teams in the league and we made them look like us. Just disgusting

Bravo, well said SashaT.
Very disappointed with the overall team performance. If we get beat on skill level ( unlikely ) / performance etc you live with it. This loss was due to lack of heart. Unacceptable. I’m not really that concerned about the long term view. Positive from a negative being I hope that our roster is shamed into not performing like that again! Kyrie gotta learn when to talk and when to walk. Definitely in agreement with the Claxton needing to see more minutes camp.

Honestly this is one of those games where I look at everyone from the coach down to the 15th man and can say that this was an outlier performance. However, Nash did not make any adjustments tonight when the game was still in play and he pretty much waited until the game was out of hand before he called a time out in the 3rd to bring Cheese in.
I'm going to move on. The Nets respond after every loss so i'm not going to harp on this too much. However, this was a bad loss because it was on national tv and the Lakers were down several key pieces. We started this game poorly and it carried over through all 4 qtrs.
Honestly, it wasnt his D that was really the issue for me. if a team is going to play drummond 30 minutes you need to exploit that on offense. Drummond had 20+ and some offensive rebounds but overall he gave just as much back offensively with turnovers and bad shots.
If LMA wasnt capable of beating him as a role man he needed to exploit him as a pop man on threes. he played the only game drummond could really defend. physical back downs.
My issue there is more with nash. 1. for not trying to find threes for aldrdige and 2. for not having Claxton/DJ play more,
Despite the slow start we were basiclly tied at halftime. where was the second half adjustments? we went away from the lineup that went on a 17-3 run.
Yeah I was dumbfounded as to why we weren't exploiting Drummond on offense.
Honestly Nash deserves criticism for the game plan and lack of adjustments just as much as the players deserve crap for getting outworked. I hope they are all embarrassed

Everyone was super quiet when we beat the hell out of them in LA without KD and with LeBron actually playing. I don’t want to hear it from these pansy ass Laker fans.

Lots of anomalies happened in this game that likely wont happen too frequently in the real games.
Lakers shooting almost 60% from deep, Nets sub 20% from deep. Drummond not being exploited on defense. Harris hitting 0 threes.
That said, losing this game may be the best thing long term. Forces you out of complacency and recognizing appropriate fear.

When the reality is that these are NBA teams with legit NBA players who can get hot and beat anyone on any given night.
The 2017 Warriors didn't go 82-0 either, and they didn't only lose to the other elite teams. Jeez, how about showing a little respect to the competition for being an NBA team?
There are games that we SHOULD win, tonight being one of them, but nothing is guaranteed, and it's not automatically the coach's fault if a weaker team beats us in a random RS game. **** happens.
Losing to the lakers isnt the issue.
Losing to the lakers by like 25, making 0 adjustments, and getting outcoached and outclassed by team with its 5th string unit out there is what is hard to swallow.
if they won by 6 and we made the obvious adjustments and it just wasnt our night fine.

Even if Nash didnt improve at all X's and O's he could make a world of a difference by just doing the basic recreation 10 year old YMCA rec league type adjustments:
-When the other team is on a big run, dont wait until its a 12-0 run and you lose the lead to call a timeout
-When your star gets a technical, get between him and the ref, take the tech if needed
-when your stars are constantly hitting the floor with no whislte or the calls are inbalance, get on the refs and get a technical
-When you need 1 stop, sub in defense for offense (in the same way you sub offense for defense)
-dont throw your team under the bus. espeially when you are a rookie coach making mistakes left and right

After the first tech he has to shut up. He knows we need him.

Players never get tossed for talking **** to each other. Refs should have let it go after the double technicals, Kyrie was walking away and done talking by the time he got ejected.Hello Brooklyn wrote:MrDollarBills wrote:Hello Brooklyn wrote:Kyrie cost us this game. You don't keep talking after you already got a tech and they give you a warning. Common sense.

Ok well if that's the case it is what it is. Don't call him that word.
Also, the dude who tweeted this is a clown. Kyrie had 18 points in 21 mins how was he getting fried? The hate is hilarious
