Look, I actually hope he doesn’t actually have anything serious going on w his family & hope they’re all healthy. But this is the 3rd time this season he’s missed at least 1 game for personal reasons.
1st time it took about 2 weeks to return, rumors started saying he might retire and was possibly depressed. I actually don’t know what the real story was behind this absence since no explanation was ever given.
Then didn’t he take another few days off & it was found he was just at his sisters bday party?
Idk. Again, i hope nothing is going on a his family. But something doesn’t add up.
He's traveling the....disc to research flat earth theories.

KP had a nice low post lefthanded bank move late in the game.

sorry, that's a lot of garbage ass shots. does this guy ever actually pass the ball either?
Significantly better than Bullocks.
Then again, he'll wind up costing significantly more, and that's IF the Raptors don't match. Which they probably will.
oh im sure hes better than bullocks
but
30mpg w/ 1asts a game? as a SG?? HARD PASS.
atleast Powell can play 2 positions.
wtf???? Trent has to be overrated, you guys are just looking at stats too hard.
no thanks.
I don't like Trent based on stats. I like Trent based on how he plays, in that he's a good shooter and has started to round out his game.
BUT - I'm wary of his price tag. Also, once the Raptors got him, I figured that ship sailed, as they didn't burn an asset for a rental.
Also, I'd prefer Powell, as he has the more well rounded game Trent MIGHT get.
As you stated, he's stout enough to play some SF, though he's a little short for it at 6'4", but RJ can play it.
He's a bit older, but 27 or 28 years old isn't ancient. It would fit in Randle's 4/5 year window.
Then the team could still have a youngish core around RJ/IQ/Mitch/Draft picks/etc after that window closes.

Zach on this team would be lethal spotting up from 3 and attacking close-outs.
His biggest flaw outside of his defense is his decision-making. He doesn't really know what to do with his dominance. He's faster than everyone else on the court, he's more athletic than everyone else on the court, and he shoots lights out, yet he's not really able to elevate his team and lead them to a winning record. It's something.
I think if he comes here, he needs to accept a lesser role and let RJ and Julius initiate the offense. Zach should be a finisher, not a creator.
If he's willing to make that sacrifice, this trio could be lethal and the foundation of a contender in the East.
You know I feel like he should be a Knick.

i think we need him to create though. cause our offense is pretty ass since we have limited creators next to randle. im sure he will sacrifice some of his touches though. peep what he said after he was named an all star this year
"I'm just going out there playing," says LaVine. "I feel like I've worked on my game each year. Worked on things I've done well and worked on things I haven't done as much. I think hard work contributes to everything. I have that capability to be that guy. I've just got to keep showing it on a nightly basis. It's not always about having energy for the offensive end. It's what the possession needs at that time and what the team needs. I'll sacrifice whatever I have to do to help us win."
i feel like this is the exact type of player thibs loves to coach. randle and rj has that same mindset too.
even though lavine is getting much better every single year, i feel like the results hasn't resulted into wins because of his coaches and horrible roster construction around him. we all know how bad jim boylen was. billy donovan is pretty overrated to me. he lets players do whatever they want. he never held westbrook accountable. i watched a lot of OKC games when melo was there and they had no system. it was just isolation ball and the big 3 would just take turns isolating. donovan's record is only reflective of the talent he had that carried him, not necessarily his coaching ability imo

It does have long term effects though. Basically in the short term it's not a big deal but it could mean a shorter career in the long term because there's no way to permanently fix it and it can lead to knee pain later in the career.

Randle = LJ
RJ = Spreewell
Lavine = H20
I expect that trio to compete for a chip
Knicks just have to manage the cap well. It would be easy but they can do it.

OKC just signed Deck to ~3.5mx4.
Does that make sense to anyone? Confuses the heck out of me tbh.

Re: Around the NBA - More Blessings For Everyone
There is one way that KP is truly a unicorn after I gave it a little thought:
A 25 year old Max player -- who has already missed large chunks of NBA time and who only averaged about 18 MPG in his overseas career -- rarely plays in back to back games to baby him along. He is pretty much the only NBA player you can say that about ever, which is pretty much the definition of unicorny.
