I hate the guy and the way he plays baseball...he's dirty as f*ck

Don't want to be associated with him at all..don't see why you can't have that take.

Because hes bNo

Hey I'll take the win...its the umps fault for not calling it not confroto for trying it.

But I felt a little dirty can't lie  (oh well I'm sure plenty of calls will go against us throughout the year...you take them when you can get them).

I'm more worried about Conforto then the actual results...he wanted no part of getting the bat off his shoulders there.

True about Conforto. I could maybe see that from the 3rd string catcher but how about you freaking hit the baseball. You're a MLB player. You think he's spitting the bit over his contract extension?

But you're right, we always get the shyt end of that stick and, in the end, like you say it's the umps fault. It's crazy to me that you have replay available to get calls right but then don't use it on a bad call that decides the game. That's just mindbending.

Yes, there is something wrong about what Conforto did. It's against the rules for one thing. Also, not getting out of the way, that's bad enough, but to allow a batter to stick out an arm or leg with the intention of getting hit is against the rules. But then to allow a game to be decided by that one play is horrendous umpiring. You could tell that Gary, Ron, and Keith didn't like it as well. But like with everything else in baseball, if you can get away with it, then it's cool. All is fair in love, war, and baseball.

keith still thinks your #2 guy should be a light hitting speedster.

chase utley made a career of getting hit by pitches in the strikezone and not moving out the way.

conforto did nothing wrong, don't load the bases next time.

I'm at peace with it.

Weren't you the one who went bananas over the Astros stealing signs?

you already lose this argument by even having the guts to compare the two.

they're not, not even a little bit.

Another deGrom gem wasted. How many wins have the Mets costed him in his career?

This was payback from The Baseball Gods for Conforto's intentional HBP yesterday.

Anyhow, if I was managing, I would've sat Conforto today simply because he's in a funk and Marlins threw a tough left-hander today against us. We could've played Pillar in RF instead.

So far, I'm not very impressed with Rojas this season.

They’re 36-42 as a team in his last 78 starts...that’s almost impossible with how good he’s been

They are screwing his team-impacted statistics, record books, career #s, and negatively impacting his legacy.

It’s unacceptable at this point.

I still think he is on track for the HOF especially if he puts up another CY Young season. But man its getting ridiculous at this point the ineptness of the offense when he is on the mound. Its so bad at this point its like they are actively not trying to score when he's on the mound (I know thats not true) but it feels that way

Stroman was strong today. There are now 2 NY teams 1 game above 500. Let's go Mets!

Taijaun also looking good.

And Nimmo's gotten hot. Dom has to play 4 out of every 5 games. I'm glad to see him in the 3 slot in the order with Pete behind him.

got nice contributions for Guillorme and Villar yesterday as well.

Nimmo is blazing hot and our pitching (Walker and Stro) were locked in yesterday. Got some decent RP as well.

Just need to get Lindor/Pete/McNeil/Conforto hot and this will be a tough team to beat.

And Dom needs to play everyday and only come out for defensive reasons late (even though he is pretty decent in LF) its overblown how much of an issue it is...he makes the plays he needs to make.

We dodged a bullet by not signing Paxton. He's out for the season. I feel bad for the guy though. At least he's getting paid.

we dodged a few bullets I know people wanted Trevor Rosenthal and he is having surgery.

Walker has been great for us too...him as a 5th starter is scary when our rotation is fully healthy.

Peterson looked great last night. He threw 6 innings of 2 hit 1 run ball and his ERA dropped all the way down to 13.50 and his WHIP to 2.25.

We actually have legitimate depth this year which we never had in the past.

Guillorme/Villar/Pillar all give us solid at bats off the bench or in spot start roles

and our pitching depth is better then its ever been. Once Carrasco and Thor come back Walker moves down to our 5th starter...then we have Peterson/Lucchesi/Yamamoto all guys that are trust worthy arms in case they are needed. No more trusting Chris Flexen or PJ Conlon in that role.

Buzz on Twitter that another Met scandal is going to break tomorrow....

Sexual harassment? Steroids? Ponzi scheme? Wild boar incident?

Return to New York Knicks
