Yeah, I've complained but I can't front...injuries haven't been as devastating as they have in the past. Now watch just cuz I said that, I lose a vital player in the playoffs.

I'm happy with the injury setting the way it was this year.

Slightly less realistic than in the NBA and while I think with the new GM's in place, we have a committed bunch, I could see a fringe playoff team headed by a superstar that is basically keeping them from being a bottom team, thinking "what's the point?" if their team MVP goes down for the season. I think the likelihood of that owner deciding to take a hiatus for the rest of the year or walking away for good would go up considerably.

Spoken like a true loser. Talking about testing out lineups like it's preseason instead of talking about trying to win. Makes the playoffs for the first time but is more focused on rebuilding.

The "young kids can win a BAF championship" is just setting up the excuse for the loss you've already accepted.

All you have done is cry all year, go focus on your first round loss. You will be reading my player write ups in no time.

Anyways..
Going up against Swiss i got to test everything against that Switch defense which had him pretty much go undefeated in a 10 game stretch he used it...do I go post focus with that dray and trez defense rating, do I play Ingram and his 50 defense rating vs Leonard or play Ariza and Thybulle against him..guess we will find out tomorrow.

I like the injury setting, if anything it should be higher. We have noticed a lot more injuries in real life! Didn't have to deal with a serious injury in the first 4 seasons of the SIM just can't wear your guys out by playing them out of position for significant minutes is what I found to be key.

Injury setting isn’t so bad. I started off the season with a lot of injuries but since that I’ve been pretty healthy for the most part. And thankfully no major injuries.

I thought the injury settings were solid...enough where it makes depth important...but not damning enough to destroy your season.

Considering I was spot on with my predictions for my team and you were dead wrong, I think you should be leaving the prediction thing alone.

Threatening player write-ups as if I have any free agents worth worrying. Even if I did, how’d that work out for you last time? It actually ended up better for me. So thank you!

I beat Chicago with them using it.

No one cares. You overthink and overdo everything and nothing ever works out for you the way you dress it up in your weird little head. A cornball with cap space is still a cornball. Same way a lame with money IRL is still a lame. You can’t buy team building acumen the same way you can’t buy cool, fool. I hope you get the broom!

First let me say, Bish you’ve done a fantastic job running BAF this year. You actually find a way to somehow get better at this every year which is not only impressive, but much appreciated! As we prepare to enter into my favorite part of the season, on behalf of all GMs I just want to say Thank you for running this game for our entertainment.

Now on to injuries:

Spoiler:
I didn’t like the anxiety that came with looking at the injured list every night. I do wish they were more spread apart. The back to back small injuries definitely sucked imo. However, I’m glad there were no season ending injuries, and star players didn’t seem to take as much of a hit as the rotational guys so that kinda balanced things out.

With that said, I wouldn’t mind seeing injures go down to 50% for this game. I do not like that guys get injured on their days off. That’s probably the biggest turn off for me.

The injuries on days off element kills one GM’s entire narrative that load management is effective in reducing injuries. I’ve seen non-rotational players who get little to no minutes at all appear on the injury report and even on days off.

Wow I stopped watching that game late in the 4th and he was fine. Just checked and noticed it happened down 7 with like 50 seconds remaining in the game. Sucks. Murray is a great dude. Prayers up for him.

Injuries were pretty good this season, everyone had those small injuries throughout the season. The off day injuries were pretty weird, but those were for a day or two most of the time.

I think we can increase injury slider back to 70%, depth didn’t really matter that much this season.

I agree with the minutia but I doubt that's something Bish really has control over. Sounds to me like injury sliders are a number he moves and the Sim just kinda does its own calculus as to who the bell tolls for.

What the hell.

Hawks 0 vs Cavs 4
Cavaliers just too dominant.

Raptors 4 vs 76ers 3
Only underdog I'm picking. Having McCollum still out for the first two games unless he has a surprise early return allows the Raptors to steal home court. Of course, if there were betting on BAF games, a lot of people would have gone broke betting against the 76ers these past two years. It seems even when you think you are giving them enough credit, they still find ways of proving you wrong.

Pacers 3 vs Magic 4
I'm biased here. I'm still surprised at how Indy has underperformed this season even before KOC had to bow out. I have no doubt that KOC would have found ways to right this ship at the trade deadline if he was able to stick around, but as is, I'll go against star power and go with the depth and home court advantage I have.

Hornets 2 vs Bulls 4
I have the Hornets in the underachieve group as well (although perhaps I just overrated them preseason) and the Bulls are another team that continuously gets slept on. A healthy Bulls team that took two important late-season matchups against Charlotte should take this.

Nuggets 1 vs Pelicans 4
Pelicans another team that is just too strong. Nuggets are a hard team to evaluate. They had great stretches and then horrendous stretches during the season (usually immediately after chemistry-disrupting trades). Did finish strong once the lineup restabilized and there is certainly a lot of talent, but no match for NOP.

Spurs 1 vs Trail Blazers 4
The most overlooked team in the preseason ratings against one of the preseason favorites. I think the Spurs are still too young to do much damage against a top 3 BAF squad. I do think the youngsters will steal a game, however. If they could have moved up even a seed, I think they could have taken a 3 seed to a game 7. Portland just too strong.

Clippers 3 vs Mavs 4
Coin flip here. I'll play home court advantage.

Warriors 3 vs Kings 4
Ditto. I'll take home court in an extremely close matchup

ANNOUNCEMENT

Congratulations to our 16 playoff teams! With the postseason beginning tomorrow, I just have a few quick announcements on how playoff basketball works. There are a few slight differences that get implemented for the postseason.

First, I'd like all teams to submit their rotations, minutes and matchups (more on this below) by midnight the night prior to your game. I will not sim until at least Noon each game day so if something comes up and you can not get it in the night before, it will still be accepted up until 12PM on game day. But please try and get your team set by midnight, the night before your game.

Second, as we have done the past few seasons, teams can matchup individual players defensively in the playoffs. I believe the sim puts PG vs. PG, SG vs. SG, etc on defense. Teams are allowed to cross match players in the postseason. If you want a specific defensive matchup, submit it with your rotation and offensive/defensive strategies. Any questions on this, feel free to ask.

Good luck to all 16 teams and better luck next year to the 14 teams who are now lottery bound. If anyone has any questions moving forward, let me know and I'll do my best to answer.
All-Time Draft

PG- Oscar Robertson/Bob Cousy
SG- Earl Monroe/James Harden/Dana Barros
SF- Billy Cunningham/Michael Finley/Chet Walker
