its a strange year for the Spurs. Spurs beat Dallas and Denver but also lost by 24 to Cleveland and also lost to Atlanta and Sacramento

New Bulls center Nikola Vucevic said he wasn’t surprised that Orlando traded him at the deadline. “It wasn’t out of nowhere, we’d had discussions prior to it, so it was kind of mutual; it wasn’t just out of nowhere,” Vucevic said (via Alex Kennedy of Basketball News). “They pretty much just let me know that the trade was happening and said, ‘You’re going to Chicago.’ Honestly, even though I had an idea that it could happen, it was still a big shock to me.”

Seems like AG was speaking the truth when he said that he wasn't the only one that wanted out, now AG's team went about advertising it in a whole different way.

I don’t blame Vuc for wanting out. Why waste his prime years on a rebuilding team.

I expect them to make playoffs over Memphis and Warriors.

I'm still shocked how much of an positive impact somebody like CP3 has.

East, Celtics seem to be figuring things out , but they have been mess whole year, so you never know.

There is nothing about Vucevic wanting out, only us informing him that there are talks ongoing. Its totally different behaviour between Vuc and AG.

You can establish timeline easly.
GOrdon asked for trade in February. He probably told his teammates as well. They all knew he is going to leave. Weltman figured old nucleus of team won't be there any longer, as Evan also kind a said he won't return. So they had talk with Vuc about trades.
I mean it's normal human behavior and being open and honest. You don't really trying to back-stab anybody as GM because almost all players have same agents and they tend to be friends off court as well.

I really don't understand why we are still talking so much about Vuc in general. He was good player here, he was traded. End of a story.

isnt he quoted saying they'd had discussions and it was mutual? I could see him seeing that AG was moving, Evan was moving, that he also asked to be traded instead of staying on a rebuilding team yet again. I dont think anyone realistically thinks Orlando is making the playoffs next year.

Is that supposed to mean something? They are trashing LeBron, Curry and Harden on the GB literally every day.

We are still talking so much about Vuc because the current team isn't much to talk about IMO. That would be my guess. There's really only so much you can discuss about a team that gets blown out just about every night.

I understand Vuc fans not wanting to talk about him, because people have been calling him an empty stat guy for years, and it appears they were right.

is Karl Anthony Towns an empty stat guy? What have they done? and what has he done? they are currently slotted for the #1 pick.

Vucevic needs great defensive forward like Isaac to cover for him. You can build a good defense with Vucevic becouse he has some advantages in smart positioning and rebounding. Its not suprising our rebounding plummeted, but guess what our defensive efficiency also plummeted. How is it possible if we swaped defensive liability in Vucevic for "great potential" Bamba and WCJ ?
Bulls is such a **** team right now. Thats why you dont change half of your rotation at the deadline when there are no practices

Good laugh on Twitter a bit ago, the Orlando Magic account asked a trivia question seemingly gloating that our defensive rating was 2nd highest in franchise history and asked when was the highest, (89-90). Had some good replies before they realized higher isn't better.

This season has been a disaster for the NBA. I get why they had to put atleast 70 games for the TV contract and cause of the Olympics, but I don’t know who didn’t see this causing a ridiculous amount of injuries.

They should’ve stretched out this season as much as they could even if it interferred with the Olympics, and started late again next season.

That is exactly the same thing, I mean is there actually any difference between Vuc, Lebron, Curry and Harden ?

All jokes aside it’s interesting to see another teams fans outlook on whether or not Vuc helps or hurts your team as an offensive focal point and defensive anchor.

They are pretty much the same type of players. So not much surprise they have the same impact. Towns is just a more dynamic version, which leads to much more freethrows.

They are trashing Vuc and by extension the Bulls for the trade. Jeeez. Its been what? 10 games? You expect to make major trades and expect winning basketball right away? Let them mesh first.

With that said, I think Vuc had a better supporting cast with us even with Fultz and JI injured compared to the bulls right now even with LAvine with them.

Return to Orlando Magic
