Yep, that's what I feared when I saw it. Sucks for Murray and kills Denver's contending hopes for this year.

****. They looked electric with Gordon, and were my pick in the West.

Yea that just sucks. Really thought they could win the West after the Gordon trade. Guess we're all in on the Utah bandwagon now.

That's a tough blow. I hope he has a speedy recovery.
I still think Denver will be a tough out in the playoffs. Maybe MPJ take's another step in his development. His shooting splits this seasons have been really good and he's already been aggressive looking for his shot, so I'd imagine he'll have even more free rein to score now.

Really sucks cause I like the current standings. There was probably 66+% chance lakers would play Den or LAC in the FIRST round. Would've been great to knock out some contenders early.

Denver is still good and dangerous. Monte Morris is good. The issue will be the Campazzo minutes because good teams will target the **** out of him. They will also miss Murray's ability to go super nova. Curious to see if Porter takes a step with added scoring responsibility.

Hate to say it but this is a good break for the Lakers. I think their most likely to fall in the 4/5 game and I'd say Denver is their most likely opponent with the Jazz, Clips, and Suns staying top 3. Could be some interesting jockeying late in that race where you could make a case you'd rather have the 2 seed than the 1 to avoid the Lakers round 2.

Should be noted it was the right knee that was sore and he was sitting out so this is probably just bad luck and not because he was playing hurt.

Could be he was favoring his right and thus putting additional/unusual strain on his left.

Looking at the replay and it looks like landed funny and it buckles. But there is often a domino effect so you could be right.emunney wrote:WeekapaugGroove wrote:

So this Overtime Elite, is this a league or like an academy for teenagers?

Lol bitching because it impacts you is a weak ass look. Finish in the top 6, it's really not asking too much.
I don't really care either way about the play in game. Could lead to some fun sudden death games so that's a plus. And I do think it at least some what lessens tanking so that's good. But I absolutely don't feel bad for the 7/8 seeds those aren't typically good teams so I have no issue making them win to get their opportunity to get beat down by a top seed.

Didn't the first round basically go to a best of 7 because the Mavs lost?

Rest Giannis.
Giannis has indeed chronic pain but it was never bad enough to not allow him to complete even basic shooting warm ups before the games for weeks. It started from a slight sprain against the Grizzlies(I think) he got hit a couple of times near his knee area by getting over a screen or driving to the basket and tried to play through that on both the Celtic games and the Blazers and it probably got worse.
GHOSTofSIKMA wrote: I think that we will do worse than last season and that Giannis is now just a mere all star. All because we switched from Bud to Griffin.

NBA already gifts too many mediocre teams with playoff spots as is. The play-in game is one of the few good things Silver has done as of recently.

Dallas should be easily taking that 6th spot from the Lakers, but they keep throwing it away losing to bad teams.

I don’t understand how your social media person (and creative who made it) doesn’t realize that mistake. They shouldn’t be in that position IMO as harsh as it sounds.
