Sad about J Murray and Denver. They were my hope team out West... One reason why I always say NO team (Nets this year) is a lock for a title. Anything unfortunately can happen to anyone at any given time.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Losing Murray is absolutely brutal. Denver had a punchers chance of making the finals if fully healthy.

It doesn't feel like 7-3. Feels like every game we get out to a bad start and I'm yelling at the tv. We get a win, but the percent of time the game was fun to watch is low. 3 quarters of what the **** and then we pull it out some how.

I know, that's normal for a young team. But it has been such a frustrating season. Even the wins are frustrating.

Denver definitely had a chance with Jokic/Murray/Gordon and Porter. Too bad Murray went down.

LBJ's luck continues to be through the roof. It's like the guy inked a deal with the **** devil. A lots of the time where there are teams in his conf that might beat his squad, somebody goes down- last year LAC- George missed a ton of time and they lacked chemistry in a big way. Now the Nuggets have looked dangerous and added a guy who can at least bother LBJ a bit, and their 2nd best player went down. Even us in what 2012? We went down in 7 with Avery and Green both having season ending injuries/surgeries.
Good assessment:

Aaron Gordon cannot bother Lebron James.

So, IT'S 10 day contract expired and was not renewed. I would like the C's to give him a shot as an assistant coach. Bring it full circle. I always liked him. I think he could be a valuable voice in the locker room.

I have heard a ton of media members bring up Denver playing 6 games in 9 days when talking about Murray's torn ACL then somehow forget to mention that he didn't participate in that stretch.

I'm on board on this. We badly need a vet shooter these days. Plus, it's freaking IT! It's time to complete the circle. Bring him back to help the bench!

I don't think he has much left as a player. I meant as an asst coach. He was my favorite Celtic when he was here.

Tough for IT. Goes to show how the executives know more than we do. So many fans wanted us to bring him back, but the guy really is toast.

Definitely one of the most entertaining Celtics...top 5 IMO (again, entertaining) Shame that freak injury took out his career.

This saddens me. IT is toast as a player.

And I'm completely onboard with bringing him in as an assistant coach, or even part of the developmental staff. Bring him and Horford back to Boston.

IT has never been able to stick anywhere. Good college career, but went undrafted. Played great his last year with the Kings (and good prior), it got him an MLE deal with the Suns. Half a season if Phoenix, he blatantly outperformed his contract, got traded for peanuts. Here, he nearly became an MVP candidate, got traded as one piece of a larger deal for an overrated diva.

Since, at the very least, he has shown flashes of not being done, but he can't stick anywhere, in any capacity. I really tend to wonder if the problem is on the court.

I also wouldn't mind seeing him take over Carsen's spot. Game wise, he's not a guy to ever count out.

IT didn't stuck anywhere for reasons outside his control basically. If the Kings of Suns were halfway competent, he would have spent the rest of his career at either place and probably not torn his hip. But he is 100 pct washed and has been since May 19, 2017. I don't know why fans are still clamoring for him. Carsen Edwards has been a nothing player so far, but even he can put the ball in the hoop better than Thomas has since he last played for Boston. Here is what he has done since he recovered from the hip injury: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/t/thomais02.html#2018-2021-sum:advanced

And you think he's better than Carsen Edwards?

But hey, he just made 100k for his 10-day contract, he should probably keep trying.

I just had a dream we traded for Luka in the future. Then I woke up with my dog licking me in the ear.

They loved him in New Orleans as a person, they say, even as they chose not to re-sign him.

He's dumb as a box of rocks. So I'm not optimistic as to how he'd do coaching.

Everyone says this about him though, and nobody resigns him.

I presume that's because he's now an OK offensive player who harms you on defense, rather than an elite one who's a liability at the other end.
