Dr Positivity wrote:The whole Lashley champion decision is a no for me. It would have worked if Brock came back or something but with recycled McIntyre feud very lame for Raw Wrestlemania title match build. The match will be fine I'm sure but the storyline isn't there, and when Lashley was wrestling against Cedric it just didn't give me that WWE champion is in the ring feeling. He is a midcarder.

I disagree. Lashley looks like a champ in every way - and he's definitely helped by MVP. Midcarder? To each his own, but I don't see that at all.

Or not.

I will say though, Dijak and Dio are much better fits for a "Hurt Business" gimmick than Cedric and Shelton. Just get them out of the masks and put them in suits. If they dress like Lashley and MVP they'll fit right in.
Was thinking of the same thing, MVP can make it work.

"These two gentlemen have been misled all this time. They were made to believe that the system has been overlooking them and not giving them opportunities"

Then proceeds to make fun of their names and gimmicks and then introduce themselves

"We know how to handle our business, and these two are both in the business of hurting people"

Along those lines

I wish they had come out without the masks. Just drop the whole failed personas and don’t look back.

Maybe next week, saving for a lengthy segment. Wrestling is kinda big with unmasking

That’s fair but that would be accepting in story TBar and Mace.

I would of rather gone the Dabbo Kato route where they just pretend that atrocity never happened. . Kane fits here also. They just threw Yankem completely away and didn’t try to integrate that disaster into a new character.

Yeah I guess they'll be better off ignoring. There's also the risk of burying Ali that way when they acknowledge Retribution.

Poor Ali, he'll be forgotten again regardless

Although no one really knew that Kane underneath the mask was a former dentist, not until he was already established as the monster, The Big Red Machine Kane

Will they remember the feud between Retribution and the hurt business?
The could fabricate a decent story around this tbf.

I still remember Kane making his USWA (or was it Smokey Mountain Wrestling?) debut as Unabomber - climbing from underneath the ring in a steal cage match - under the tutelage of Al Snow - who was great in indies back then, btw. Not sure which is more impressive - becoming a star as Kane or surviving gimmics as Unabomber and Isaac Yankem DDS.

From your mouth to Rick Bognar's ear. Very sorry to see he died in 2019.

That look doesn't suit her at all.

Yeah, the semi-heel act isn't working for her anymore. And it seemed odd that Ripley was cheering for Asuka over Charlotte. Is Ripley now a face - after she was clearly a heel leading up to her match against Asuka? Or are Ripley and Charlotte hybrids?

I read a post on reddit that suggested The Fiend be a demonic possession, I thought that would be pretty awesome. Like it possessed Wyatt now it went to Bliss, after it's done with her it could travel to someone else. Each person putting their own spin on the gimmick. A big bonus to that is it can easily be explained when it's time for the current person to drop it. The idea reminds me a lot of a kind of Ghost Rider.

I’m kind of disappointed in how outright bad Raw/Smackdown have been the past 2 weeks. You’d think following a great show at WM that they’d be able to parlay that momentum into some good TV episodes but no.

They need to go all in on Charlotte being a scumbag like 2016 while the Thunderdome is there cause normally too many people cheer for her. They definitely would've cheered for her beating up the refs.

Looks like McIntyre is done as the Reigns of Raw to me and will just be another solid big guy again. The match with Tbar and Mace sucked.

Where is AJ and Omos? How come Morrison wasn't in the Maryse-Miz storyline, he could have been the one who suggested the match or something

I liked the storytelling of Orton-Riddle. Also RKBro is the best name for a team that will probably never happen.
