Trying to predict when a 30+ year old athlete will fall off a cliff is like predicting earthquakes
It just happens when it wants to without any warning.

Clips got him after that exorbitant contract finished, didn't they? We talked about him a bit on here, his skillset always was fine for the modern game. The problem was always the contract.

The contract part meant that he was never a risk worth taking.

I know man, I picked LMA in the 5th round (12-team league) of my fantasy draft this year, just at the point where he tipped down of that cliff after a billion seasons of semi-stardom :D

Losing 30 pounds has helped him be less washed.

I don't know why people think it's so crazy that Ant doesn't know who A-Rod is. He was ~14 when A-Rod retired, ~9 last time A-Rod was an all-star, and unless you watch Sunday Night Baseball or care about he and Jennifer Lopez, why would you know him now?

We're two years removed from would not touch Chris Paul with a mile long pole and absolutely done before he dragged an OKC team to the playoffs and made the Phoenix Suns a top team in the West.

The Chris Paul thing was always nuts, the idea that an all-time great player would fall off the map entirely in his early 30s without some debilitating injury. He was never not great.

It's a little weird to me but I don't see it as a negative at all. Like just the fact that there were reports that he bought your team for a couple days, I'd have probably looked him up. But again, I don't mind that his focus was elsewhere.

He knew A-Rod was buying the team, I think he was just being honest about the fact that prior to that he didn't know who A-Rod was.

I have found Ant's candidness to this point to be very endearing, because it's all been innocent so far. I imagine he'll eventually put his foot in his mouth, but until that time, it's delightful.

Definitely should have taken Haliburton, he would have fit nicely into the role Carter is playing for them. Cam Payne somehow turning into a good backup PG has lessened that blow a little. Pretty cool turn around from a bust/punchline and out of the league to a valuable rotation guy on a good team. I think the failure was a wake up call because he's played with an insane effort level for phoenix.

The impressive part of the suns success is it hasn't been gimmicky. They simply play good D and move the ball without turning it over on O. Paul has been great but they were a little better last season than most people probably realize. Ayton is the wildcard as far as their upside. He's been really good lately and if he takes a leap they will be a tough out.

Philly just killing Nets. It is nice to see that the Nets have no answer to a quality big.

Well I mean the answer might be two MVP caliber players but I suppose we'll have to see.

I'm not saying that Philly would destroy them in a series. Just looks like any quality big will eat against them. Series result entirely depends on if KD and Harden can outscore all the issues their defensive limitations creates.

Sucks Nets are down 2 of their 3, this would have been a good game. I think the Bucks/Sixers games next week will be fun (with Giannis).
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

For the record I also think Philly is a really **** good team.

Like the Bucks, curious to see the Sixers when forced into a half court game and with teams doubling Embiid.

I'd hope they run Simmons in some kind of close to basket capacity. You need a third good defender covering him in that area.

I get your point though - can Embiid make the pass?

The Draymond Green/Jayson Tatum Subway commercial is awkward but for some reason makes me laugh.
