That last quarter made suffering through the first 3 quarters worthwhile... Sixers played like they didn't want this game but we handed it to them on a platter..

Do the Sixers have the playmaking to survive more aggressive defensive schemes in the playoffs? It doesn't look like it. Boston does it to them every season and we certainty have the personnel for it...

Still think Nash should have put KY back in when it was a 3 point game. Robbed us of a nice highlight finish. Alize as your crunch time #1 option won't do it although it was entertaining

Nash essentially forfeited this game but we were competitive regardless, so the role players should be proud.

As for the NBA turning this into the tail-end of a back-to-back on the road ... FU Adam Silver.

If KD played in this game, as he normally would have, NETS WIN THIS GAME, period.

If the BIG 3 were all healthy, we run them out of the gym.

Why not put Kyrie back in?

That’s all I wanted from this game to be honest. I didn’t care if they won or lost. I cared they it was close. And it was hard fought. Don’t just roll over because you have excuses for it. And honestly I thought the nets starters didn’t deserve to play in the end. Everyone is flipping out on the general board about why Nash didn’t put Irving back in the game at the end. I disagree. The nets bench deserved to end the game. Good hard fought effort by them and they made the sixers starters look like scrubs. I’m very happy with this result. The sixers at full strength could barely beat the nets Without half their team.

Now the discussion will be on what the sixers have to do to get better and get past the nets and bucks. Lol.

Play defense with intensity and this series can be over in 4..

KD and Harden won't help us if we were playing defense like we were in the first 3 quarters. We rolled out the red carpet to do whatever they wanted to do

Well at least we made them sweat. That was a great comeback. Our backups are scrappy and I love to see it. Wonder why Nash didn't bring in Kyrie though? he probably could of helped us seal the deal. Embiid is very good but I hate that he tries so hard to draw fouls and then complains when he doesn't get the call, its annoying, just play ball man.

Sixers are a bunch of pansies outside of Embiid. Good shooters but if those shots are not going in they are finished.

Simmons and Harris don't want it with Harden or KD.

He has the 1 thing we lack:

Size + Bulk + Athleticism in one package at the wing. he has that jimmy butler build.

Green has the size/strength but no longer the quickness

Brown has the bulk and quickness but not the size.

there is a role for him here for sure

The answer to that is no.

The Sixers will likely not even get to BKN in the ECF's. But if you guys want to close the whole ball of wax you will have to be able to defend the Lakers or Clippers. It's a tall task with your defensively challenged roster.

How do you BKN fans see an ECF with Milwaukee going down?

This game had some pretty glaring observations:

1) There isnt a single player in Philadelphia who can check Kyrie. Not simmons, not Thybule, not milton. Kyrie abused everyone in a game where the entire focus was to stop him with no KD/Harden.

2) Simmons is an enormous liability on offense. You dont have to gaurd him outside of 1 inch from the hoop. outside transition he really does nothing. like back in the day at least rondo was crafty enough to keep you honest.

3) Our offense is flat out better with a rim rolling big. the pick and roll lob opens up the entire floor and allows us to get dunks off our elite spacing. going 5 out is good to mix it up and there is certainly a spot for LMA, but Jordan/Claxton need to play

4) As great as embiid is he didnt do a ton until the 3rd once our guys where kind of gassed. DJ made him work early. he had 23 at halftime but on like 19 shots. He also got gifted some awful foul calls. It is pretty clear why there are so many games embiid goes for 35+ and they lose. when he has the ball everyone else is still standing and watching. they dont have alot of guys who can beat you after embiid.

5) their shooters cant attack a close out. Curry and green can shoot it but you run them off the line and they are useless. unlike ours, who can get to the rim and make you pay.

6) Embiids defense isnt very scary. Jordan had a ton of easy dunks. and outside of 1 block kyrie finished right by him at will. Their defense overall is super overrated. we got whatever we wanted all game. With Harden/KD i can see us scoring 150 on them.

7) Alize johnson/Claxton combo can bring D and justle. i want to see some lineups with those two plus the big 3. with harden you turn Claxton into a plus offensive player and with the big 3 you can get away with johnsons shooting. im not saying start and play it 30 minutes but thats a good balanced 2 way lineup.

8) Breen/Burke is vomit enducing. Breen is the biggest brown noser of all time. Burke makes it out like every play of the game is the most amazing thing ever.

9) No superstar has ever gotten less whistles on clear fouls then kyrie. he gets bodied to the floor all the time with nothing. i get he doesnt hunt fouls and twists in some crazy ways but some of it is so eggregious.

More thoughts on the game....

I get that the bench mob brought us back to within 3 points. and I support nash rolling with them to close it out after they went on a 21-2 run. Would have loved to see Kyrie, but i get it. But i mean, can you have at least subbed out TLC for Harris or something?

Embiid is a flopping whore.

I don't think we need to worry about a 1 seed or about philly in the playoffs. they are the same fraud paper tigers i thought they were coming into the season. I dont see how they can get by miami/boston in the first 2 rounds. those teams are just better. especially in a halfcourt game. i thought doc might change that. he helped a ton. but its not enough. Simmons is just to big a liability and outside embiid there offense is just weak. its why they underachieve in the post season.

All this tough talk from simmons about "you need to be able to play defense too" but Kyrie and a cast of backups, 3rd stringers and 10-day guys just dropped 115 on them with their eyes closed.

I dont see milwaukee making it that far. I'd expect to see miami or boston.

If we face the bucks i expect a sweep. we are a nightmare matchup for them.

im not worried about defense. when we are focused and it becomes a halfcourt game in the playoffs we will get the stops we need. Just look at all the games this year vs good teams. we have destroyed teams and gotten stops. The clippers cant stop us. we have already seen that twice. and we handled them. Denver? nope. Utah? nope. Pheonix? nope. Clippers? nope.

The Nets know the regular season doesnt matter. its why we lose to bad teams so often

Tonight proved that the minutes at center should be situational. What does the match up look like?

Some games LMA should play, some games we should rely on Claxton and DJ more.

There should be no fixed rotation at center. Period
