Stupid and soft, Which 21/22 year old has played through discomfort and ended up missing a heap of games? Pretty much unheard of

Oh right their other starting guard who's now out with Plantar Fasciitis, due to wear and tear. I wonder WHY OKC would think to give a player rest if he was sore,

Probably listening to doctors then RealGM posters again

Yeah...because obviously 21yr olds can't play big minutes or they wear out quickly. Just think of the inhumanity!

Lebron James age 19: 3122min
Lebron James age 20: 3388min
Lebron James age 21: 3361min

Luquentz Dort age 21: 1268min + oh man! I'm bushed! I'll never survive! Oh! The humanity! Aieeee!!!

There is a word commonly used for cats that can accurately describe many of the players of this generation. I won't use it because it would be insulting to women, many of whom are tougher than the "men".

Can you give me the minutes that Brandon Roy and Penny Hardaway next?

I hear what you're saying, but this is a team that's also currently sitting a different apparently healthy player for no actual reason. With the justification being, "bwah he's ok with it".

The slings and arrows shouldn't be surprising.

He should make Jamal Murray play tomorrow as well. Maybe get Shai to play when you don't have back to backs, That foot Injury only effects you the day after, So if hes not playing the next day whats the point? Klay Thompson is also back at training, lets get him out because GS will get ratings

Honestly dude.

Ballerhogger wrote:147-109 final score tonight 50-29 in one quarter. Jeez. OKC is tanking i get it but come on

Team which needs to win and playing hard vs a team which is pretty **** missing their two best guards against probably the best guard in the league. OKC will learn but, Look at their roster. what do you expect was going to happen?

Probably pulls up sore and why risk your other young star with a sore shoulder with a back to back? I wouldnt risk anyone considering they lost their best player to wear and tear and their season run home is just going to get more condensed, It's an issue of the compressed season as much as tanking

As a fan, I think choosing to rest Durant for prime time game against the 76ers but playing him against the T Wolves the day before has a lot more of an impact on ratings than what okc does. But let the fake outrage continue.

It would be amazing if they drop out of the top 5. hopefully the basketball gods give them what they deserve.

Hate to break it to you, but - looking pretty good for us right now. Just here to gloat (until we fall out of the top 5 - then I'll be back in tears).

Team No. 1 Top 5
Rockets 14% 52%
Timberwolves 14% 40%
Magic 13% 60%
Pistons 12% 56%
Thunder 11% 81%

This is so true. He's tearing down what David Stern worked so hard to build.

With the 1st pick in the 2021 NBA draft.. the Oklahoma City Thunder select Cade Cunningham.

As a thunder fan, I’ll say that I do wish they could only lose by 15 instead of 30-50. Problem is that when they try, they win.

Blame the system that encourages tanking, not the teams utilizing a draft strategy to land a top pick.

But tell me again how players sitting out is is the real problem.

No one watches them?

Granted, I'm speaking about potential fans and the growth of the sport when I say this. I grew up watching 3-5 games every night. Including bad teams because even the bad teams had 1-2 good players. Now I mostly just watch Lakers games because the product has decreased. I'm already a hardcore fan that was hooked years ago though.

But what is the incentive for a new fan to watch? Do you think they'll understand it, or tune into something else instead?

Quite honestly the kings are playing over the hill veterans that the Moron McNair obtained to make a push for the play-offs and promptly lost 10 in a row. I would rather they play their young developing players.

Instead the Kings are playing Fox 40 minutes a night in a compressed schedule. Putting your star point guard at risk of injury for nothing seems infinitely worse and dumber than what OKC is doing.

This is classic tanking and its been going on a long time. Blaming this on analytics or players finally gaining some power is rich. And wrong.

There's levels to tanking though

Pretty much. That's my concern for the next games against bad teams.

Wonder why people on RealGM think the Rockets are smart to tank to keep their pick while OKC should be punished...

Players teaming up results in several lower end teams having no options.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I think people are connecting the amount of picks OKC currently has with the tanking. They don’t like the amount of picks because they wish their team had them, and then they see the tanking on top and blow a fuse.

Guess so. It's easier to root against a tanking team that has 34+ picks over the next 7 years.

Our amount of picks is kind of overrated though...we badly need some high picks and smart people know this.

We have only one very good player and a good role player in Dort...while other tanking teams don't have that many picks, some have more talent in young players (Orlando for example, if Isaac/Fultz are healthy they are going to be a threat).
