On another note, this might either affect really negatively, not at all, or in some cases even positively to our chances of winning, depending what do we do. With Temple, the D with starters will get immensely better but we lose some shooting. We have to remember though that Sato-Thadd have been cooking in one point of this season, and if we could run it through Vuc and them, and have the good ball movement we had pre ASG break, aside the obvious loss of zach's shooting, our starters might look even more solid. To us do well, we would need that best version of Thadd again...

And if we start Coby, we will be much worse than with Zach starting. If this latter one happens, we can book it: trying to do as best as possible isn't in their intention.

Well ,Zach is our best player so it's unlikely we'll go for a winning streak. Better lose as much as possible trying to be lucky in the lottery.

How about playing Coby and Denzel in the backcourt?2 combo guards who are bad defenders .Many games would be lost with them starting.

Now we probably will win more games. This team was in a huge funk. A shakeup will likely make it better, by energizing the people who are given more responsibility, and by instilling an edge of desperation.

No knock on Zach, I would said the same if Vuce were out.

That's about the only possible silver lining in this. Hopefully it works out the way you said.

Weird things happen when people are out though.

The rest of the team will feel the need to actually contribute offensively and it just balances out. Its like when we were missing Sato, Lauri, Wendell and Otto and we were still winning games.

It will be interesting to see who starts. Coby? Brown? Or bring Lauri back from the bench and mix things up completely.

If LaVine is out and he played yesterday, it's likely he's not the only one on the Bulls that has this. Could be looking at a complete shutdown or a 8-9 man team.

Most of the Bulls were vaccinated a while ago. I remember Thad saying in an interview that there were only a few guys who didn't get it.

It was like a week, week and a half ago when they got vaccinated. This may mean that Zach was one of the players to not get the vaccine.

Sucks for Zach, reading between the lines it sounds like he has Covid.

I think I'm on board for a full tank to finish the last 20 games off. We're weren't doing anything in the playoffs this year anyway with the amount of holes in this team. It really doesn't matter whether our pick lands at 5 or 15-20, we don't get it anyway so I'd rather spend the next 20 games trying to boost the value of Lauri, Coby etc and give ourselves a chance at top 4.

We're going to need a bit of luck to land a top 4 pick but it's certainly possible. Let's say we finish with the 6th worst record then 40% is still a solid chance of landing a difference maker.

Head in to offseason with Zach + Vuc, top 4 pick and sign Lonzo. We can look to turn around our fortunes that way. Wishful thinking but what else do we have?

major bummer, I was hoping for some playoff Zach or maybe a Bulls V Knicks play-in game.....
