They still have games against us, houston, detroit, and the kings (twice). We actually have a chance to catch them if we tank properly.
They play OKC twice this week. Twolves could try to tank one of those. Not sure what protections are on their pick.

They have top 3 protection on it. It will definitely be interesting to see how Minny handles those OKC games.
I looked at the schedule wrong, they play the Kings twice, not OKC.

Wolves don't play the Thunder again this season.

They do, however, play Sacramento (who have lost 9 straight) back-to-back on Tuesday and Wednesday.

For as bad as OKC has been, Sacramento has lost just as many in a row (9). We could be 1 game back of the wolves at the end of the week if we lose our games.

They went from 10th to 8th with the loss and the raptors/wiz wins. Lotto night is going to be stressful.

I think Magic are going to beat the Rockets on Sunday. Losing that game would be excellent, but I just don't think it's in the cards.

The question is how many more can the Magic get after that? Feels at the absolute maximum it would be three more which would get them to 22 wins.

Does 15 win Minnesota have 7 wins in them? They play the Kings x2, the Rockets, the Magic and the Pistons
Does 17 win Detroit have 5 wins in them? They play the Cavs, Magic and Wolves.
Does 20 win Oklahoma City have 2 wins in them? They play the Kings 3x.

The Bulls play the Cavs tomorrow night.
Next week for them.

Cavs vs Bulls, Saturday
Bulls vs Celtics, Monday
Bulls vs Cavs, Wednesday

The Cavs play the Pistons in between. So they could overtake the Bulls if they win 2 out of the 3 games this week.

The Pistons tonight started...

Hayes 19
Jackson 24
Bey 21
Doumbouya 20
Stewart 19

And brought these guys off the bench...

Lee 21
Jackson 22
Sirvydis 20
Cook 23
Okafor 25

And they won.

They can bring back the guys they rested tomorrow and beat the Wizards, who just won an emotional overtime win.

I think we want Det to beat the wiz, and Cle to beat the Bulls tomorrow

That would have us essentially tied for 3rd with Det and some breathing room between us and Cleveland

Going to completely guess the top of the lotto and picks-

1. OKC- Cade
2. Houston- Suggs
3. Detroit - Mobley
4. Orlando -Green
5. Minnesota- Kuminga

Somehow Orlando lands Keon Johnson with the bulls pick.

That would be a great night if that happens. Then hopefully Cleveland loses to the Pistons Monday, and comes back to beat the Bulls again Wednesday.

We'd be a high flying team with those two.

First off... does okc have leprachauns stashed and rabbits foot galore to.be able to.bypass so many tankers to get that #1 spot?

Secondly, I think HOU goes with Mobley if they are in the 2nd spot. They have Wall and like us, they have a history with superstar Cs which they might wanna take the chance again.

Third, If 2 happens, I think DET picka Green cuz they need an alpha scorer to go along with Bey and Grants forward spot. Plus they just drafted a PG ( sure he sucks now) with a high pick this season.

I have to agree too...It's a shame they can't use draft position to help re-balance talent but human nature always games the system...you could make a similar case for capitalism or socialism- both would work fine if not for human nature looking to hack it. I think tanking is worse for NBA biz than an equal odds lottery would be. This time of the season everybody but very best teams have to at least consider their trajectory and whether they can legitimately contend...that's not healthy. Magic SHOULD be tanking with the current system but, generally speaking, I'm not for rewarding mismanagement and incompetence.

Lottery would be a huge event with 14 teams having NO idea where they land

I just don't understand how there is no tanking on NFL, it's only based on record, but everyone is playing really hard until the end. Maybe it's the fact that the players don't have so many guaranteed contracts, so they won't accept these fake injuries?

there is ABSOLUTELY tanking in the NFL. It depends on projected top of the draft and how teams' season is going after midway point. Teams were absolutely tanking for Trevor Lawrence, Jameis Winston, Joe Burrow, Cam Newton, Andrew Luck...

Well, so why the Jets were winning games last season and that way took #2 instead of #1?
