Ian Begley and Ramona Shelbourne said Phil was in love with Jackson. Begley was still working with Woj back then so I believe it. I don’t think he wanted Tatum. Especially since he was tryna force Melo out of NY that season. I doubt he wanted another light skinned scorer

When you consider that RJ will only be 25 in his seventh season the question of whether he will be a # 1 type of player remains to be seen. He is not right now, but he's in the perfect pocket now next to Randle as the # 1 and maybe someday that will be him

To be fair.. maybe Jackson actually pans out had he gone to a functional franchise.. which wasn’t really the Knicks at the time either but still..

not sure he'll be the off the dribble shooting threat that most #1's are. it's a tough skill to master

eh, we literally do not know that at all
Lately he has been doing a step back bunny hop in the high paint to get off his mid-range jumper. He never did that until recently. He's adding wrinkles to his game almost weekly
