Kevin Durant is not 7 feet tall

Its so annoying when Media is hyping Durant as the most skilled 7 foot player of all time, when in the reality he's 6"9, 6"10 at the best :roll:

You know they did that whole measure height without shoes thing a few years back right?

KD officially measured by the nets without shoes @ 6'9.5. So he's 6'11 with shoes.

Yea, like the exact height he was when he was drafted, despite everyone claiming he grew like 3 inches. :lol:

All 6'9 forwards are called 7 footers, and 6'7 frontcourt players are called 6'5. It makes it all more fantastical and a fun talking point on broadcast, even though it's exaggerated for effect.

Notice how Chris Paul wasn't given the 1.5 inch + round up benefit? Because it doesn't sound as fun to say he's 6'1.5 in shoes(or whatever arbitrary number we're just assigning to shoes now), as opposed to saying "He's not even 6' tall!"

I don't believe they did that at all , because after they announce that they did, they had Jokic at 7"1 tall , being taller than Embiid , and Embiid is clearly taller than Jokic, Jokic is 6"11 in the shoes and next to Durant on the court , he looks inch or two taller than him. Just look at those pictures of the players that are listed 6"10,6"11 , they all look taller than Durant, except Cousins.

He's 6'10" without shoes. The NBA officially measured guys last year. His wingspan is still like 7'5" which makes him appear bigger.

Yes it's not a huge issue people calling Durant a "7 footer" but it does annoy me when people try to compare him to legit 7 footers to prove how much more impressive he is.

Like why couldn't Dirk move like Durant? Well Dirk is a real 7 footer or near it.

Durant moves very impressively for a ~6'10" guy but he's not a legit big man 7 footer.

I mean from the picture of the West all-star team you can tell he is almost identical in height to Cousins. Keep in mind this pic is in shoes though, I doubt they are taking this picture with both Cousins and KD bare foot.
