If he is let off with no jail time, I think all games get postponed (probably all pro sports).
If it's a light jail sentence, it might be a handful of teams or players that protest.

I wonder how many places of businesses will allow time off if there is a verdict they don't like.

I don't imagine the jury comes up with a verdict that quickly unless it's a unanimous guilty on all charges.

Seems like he will almost certainly get third degree manslaughter and should get the other two.

3rd degree can carry a sentence up to 25 but without prior convictions would probably end up about half that. Third degree is somewhere between 15 and life but would probably get 15.

Under the circumstances, they would be putting fans and players at risk with protests and riots likely to occur. They will probably want security to be focused elsewhere. If games are scrapped, I don't think it would necessarily be because players say they won't play, but at the request of the league, if not city officials.
Just a thought.

A competitive loss is what I'm thinking. I think we come out strong looking to improve upon the SA result, but then slowly let them back in it and end up losing late.

But I think a few tough losses now in the regular season will pay dividends in the long run. I don't want them riding TOO high headed into the playoffs. I think we play better with a chip on our shoulder.
