Allen / Toppin
Collins / Hopkins
Tshiebwe / Ware

Lmao are you serious? also Askew is leaving, Mintz will be back, and Banchero alone is so much better than anyone UK has

Collins+Oscar is a terrible pairing

oh im dead serious, and if it's gonna be Mintz over Askew that's even better for UK.

makes sense, there's not gonna be any minutes for him with a Timme/Chet/Watson front court rotation, there's Ballo too, unless he decides to bounce too.

This is very far in the future but 2006 born Turkish Forward Demir Dogan might be the best turkish prospect ever. Not might, definitely is. And probably one of the most talented guys in Europe rn.
Unfortunately there is barely any footage out there but he is a super long 6'9' forward with amazing fluidity and handles for his size.
They call him the turkish Durant (tbf, they call every young guy who's tall and lanky the next Durant).

Some very short clips from last year. But they are enough to immediately recognize the immense potential.
I don't think there are many examples of kids as tall, as long, as fluid, as fast with such good handles at age 14

He must be 13 here

Duke gets Theo John via transfer

which makes sense, no way were they satisfied with just Banchero/Coleman/Williams rotation at the 4-5

Roach / Keels
Moore / Baker
Griffin / Coleman
Banchero / Coleman
Williams / John

So as someone who doesn't keep up with high school prospects, can someone explain to me what the difference is between Chet Holmgren and Thon Maker. At least superficially, they both seem like similar prospects. Lanky, has fluidity but maybe not explosiveness, and can shoot.

Chet Holgrem can handle, pass, create his own shot.

First, a disclaimer: I got Thon Maker completely wrong and no prospect is a sure thing - but Chet's upside to me is one of the highest I've ever seen.

Last time I had that feeling with an American player - of being someone who can change the nature of the game - was Anthony Davis. (You can't always be wrong) Porzingis is a good comparison but I wasn't sold on his BBIQ whereas Chet gives me AD vibes on that front. Everything looks fluid, the reflexes are impeccable... I think he has the "mental quickness" needed to succeed at the highest level.

Unlike Poku who seems more like a do-it-all perimeter player ala Kirilenko or Giannis, I would try to develop Chet as a combo big. Upper range scenario, imagine a rim protector, who can shoot 3s, put pressure on defenses as a pick and roll/pick and pop threat, and take his man off the drible with agility and creativity like a Dirk when needed (though he lacks the all-time great iso ability and array of midrangers), with above average passing ability so you can't just rush him into turnovers. Also the rare C who can grab the rebound and go coast to coast. All in all a winning player, think KG statlines but with long 2s replaced by 3s, possibly used as a stretch 5 instead of a 4. Seems to really love the game too... If his body holds up we're talking about a potential "best player on a championship team" type (maybe not the first option, but the best overall player)

(Also if you're looking for entertainment, some of the stuff he does I've never seen anyone do - ever, and I'm not just talking about that absurd move on Steph. He has the potential to be an "oohs" and "aaahs" kind of player)

Thon Maker was 4 years older than he was. If Thon was actually his listed age, he would have been a dope prospect.

Saw this on the wiretap and just curious on everyone's thoughts on it. ESPN top 10 for the upcoming class

1. Paolo Banchero
2. Chet Holmgren
3. Jaden Hardy
4. Yannick Nzosa
5. Jabari Smith
6. Adrian Griffin
7. Peyton Watson
8. Patrick Baldwin
9. Caleb Houstan
10. Kennedy Chandler

Just curious how yall view the upcoming class. I think Baldwin is low in this, and I still think that AJ is going to be a top 3 pick. I know Im a homer but that dude just seems to have it all.

Updated 2022 ESPN mock has Banchero as number 1.
They claim he has grown to 6'11, 250 pounds and his game has further evolved in the past year.

I know his jumper has definitely been progressing and he does look bigger, but if he is really 6’11, that’s huge.
