Split the Suns/Nets back to back and we are good for the 4th seed.

We're going to need to keep winning and hope the upcoming stretch for Atlanta and Knicks' west-coast trip really kicks their ass. If so, we should be pretty set, but obviously this team isn't the most consistent

What's frustrating about this seeding race is looking back and seeing how many bad teams the Celtics lost to this season.

I said the six seed and at this point I'll stand by that. The team is playing better no question but The Hawks schedule at the end is pretty easy.

Knicks for sure:
1. Need to get the Hawks loss #27.
2. Hawks have the tiebreaker over us.
3. Knicks have a more difficult remaining schedule compared w the Hawks - including a brutal road trip - which will hopefully generate a bunch of losses.
4. We get a chance to beat the Knicks once more head to head.

But still good for us if the Knicks lose.

And Heat need to lose to the Spurs to get some breathing room.

All that said, if we don’t keep winning, we could easily fall back to the dreaded 7 seed.

I'd always rather we were in 1st and favored to win it all but I have to say it's kind of fun (and a little emotionally exhausting) to have all the remaining regular season games feel like playoff games. The off-brand covid inspired parity does have an upside.

UPDATE

Good W VS a tired but very good Suns team - down JB/EF/RW & w JT playing for the Suns for most of the game.
We are tied for the 5 seed w the Hawks & a 1/2 game behind the Knicks & 1 game ahead of the Heat.
We are 3 1/2 games ahead of the Hornets & 4 1/2 games ahead of the Pacers.

Kemba is out tomorrow VS the Nets.
Will we get any of JB/EF/RW back?
Will JT rest his ankle?

Yeah I mean you never wish injury on anyone, but at the same time hope Young stays out of the lineup for awhile, haha.

They said he is definitely out for at least the next 2 games. Can't see them beating the heat or bucks without him..

The difference between 4th or 5th and then 6th is huge. Either facing one of the teams in the pack or Bucks/Brooklyn/Philly in first round.
